A luxury hotel in a prime location in the heart of Venice, directly on the Grand Canal.
The new St. Regis Venice combines historic heritage with modern luxury in a privileged location on the Grand Canal, surrounded by views of some of Venice's most iconic landmarks.
Avant-garde in outlook and revolutionary in design, the hotel is an expression of Venice's cultural curiosity and the innovation of modernity against a pedigree backdrop, unleashing a new era at the city's best address.
The St. Regis Venice officially opened its doors in October 2019 after the former Grand Hotel Britannia, which opened in 1895, underwent an extensive renovation and was restored to its former glory. Throughout its history, the hotel in its various guises has played host to a number of illustrious guests, global influencers and tastemakers. Claude Monet, who stayed here in 1908, was inspired by the hotel's spectacular views and worked to capture the passage of light in his artwork.
Enveloping visitors in a Venice of modernity, the hotel's design preserves the artistic and cultural heritage of the building while embracing the evolution of the Serenissima and the spirit of the St. Regis brand's modern style. An invitation to discover Venice from a new perspective, one that reveals subtle layers of patterns, shapes, nuances and bespoke craftsmanship.
A special collection of artworks and sculptures inspired by the city's artistic heritage is displayed throughout the hotel and in the rooms and suites. In this way, ancient Venice is brought closer to today's luxury travellers in a modern way, giving guests the feeling of being completely immersed in an environment populated by art.
