Wild Uganda

The pearl of Africa with a rich variety of wildlife: chimpanzees, mountain gorillas, rare bird species

One minute you feel the dry, hot wind of the savannah on your skin and see lions balancing on trees. A little later, you are breathing in the humid air of the jungle while gorillas pluck young leaves from the branches with a delicate touch. You are in Uganda. Winston Churchill gave the country, which lies in the eastern centre of Africa and directly on the equator, the illustrious nickname "Pearl of Africa". No wonder: Uganda is more diverse and beautiful than almost any other African country. It is characterised by vast expanses of water, savannahs, bushland and primeval forests. The different habitats are home to the famous Big Five and an almost unrivalled variety of animal and plant species. Particularly where the savannah of East Africa merges into the rainforest of Central Africa, the biodiversity takes on an almost incomprehensible intensity. For you, this means: unique impressions that will last a lifetime - even without a camera.

"The exotic vegetation and wildlife in the heart of Africa is breathtakingly beautiful. Compared to other countries, only a few travellers visit this natural paradise. Experience the warmth of the Ugandans on a farm and fulfil a lifelong dream when you suddenly come face to face with a silverback in the deep jungle."
