Chief's Camp is located in the exclusive Mombo Concession in the Moremi Game Reserve and is situated on the north-western tip of Chief's Island. The area is renowned for first-class safaris and is often referred to as the "predator centre" of Africa.
The main building houses a lounge with a small selection of literature about the country's flora and fauna, an elegant bar, a souvenir shop, a dining room serving first-class food with an African flavour, a pizza terrace and a swimming pool with a large viewing deck. In addition, Chief's Camp has a luxurious spa with a wide range of treatments that can be booked on site at your own expense, as well as a small gym and entertainment room for children.
Room
The accommodation consists of ten 141 m2 luxury pavilions with en-suite bathrooms, their own balcony and a small private pool. Large window fronts, sliding doors to the balcony as well as outdoor showers and luxurious bathtubs complete the exceptional pavilions. Guests can also enjoy air conditioning and an espresso machine in every suite.
There is also the Geoffrey Kent Suite, two interconnected pavilions that can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests.
The Geoffrey Kent Suite consists of two connected pavilions. The Mini Suite offers space for 2 guests, while the Luxury Suite can accommodate 4-6 guests.
The Kent Suite offers a private kitchenette and lounge with its own room service and waiter as well as a separate boma with a fireplace.
Game drives take place on a private basis.
Activities
Game viewing in the Mombo area on Chief's Island is spectacular all year round. Apart from the big cats, this area is also known for its high concentration of numerous other animal species: Zebras, giraffes, warthogs, antelopes, elephants, buffaloes and many more. Game drives are conducted in open safari vehicles. Excursions by mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) are offered depending on the water level and season.
