The Montenegrin Adriatic coast is 295 kilometres long in total, 72 kilometres of which are beaches. Montenegro is characterised by its many historic towns, which invite you to explore their very varied history, and its large and small monasteries, which can often be visited and exude a special spirituality. Montenegro is focussing on the further development of tourism in the country without losing sight of the concept of sustainability. One of the examples: The German Travel Association, the Ministry for Sustainable Development and Tourism and the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro awarded the country the EcoTrophea "Montenegro Wilderness Hiking and Biking" in 2011, the international DRV award for environmentally friendly and sustainable tourism projects worldwide. The project promoted the sustainable development of the hinterland, which until then had been relatively unknown and insignificant in terms of tourism. By developing a network of over 6,000 kilometres of cycling and hiking trails, the hinterland was successfully integrated into the country's overall tourism concept.
The electrical system is based on 230 volt alternating current. You do not need a travel plug adapter in Montenegro if you live in Germany.
The import and export of foreign currency is permitted up to an amount equivalent to € 10,000. The import and export of cash from an amount of € 10,000 is subject to declaration.
Rooms & Suites
175 rooms, suites, penthouses and Regent Pool Club Residences are available at the Regent Porto Montenegro, which opened in August 2014. Fine materials, chic design and a maritime look create a Mediterranean feel-good atmosphere.
At the heart of the two wings "Aqua" and "Baia" is the large pool deck/the large infinity pool area with a view of the marina. This part of the hotel can be reached via a bridge. Different room categories are available: Deluxe Mountain View, Deluxe Sea View, Junior Suite Sea View, One Bedroom Suite Sea View.

Entry is possible for German nationals with the following documents: passport (also provisional), identity card (for a stay of up to 30 days or for transit) and children's passport. All documents should be valid for 3 months upon entry. Entry to Montenegro is visa-free for stays of up to 90 days, regardless of the purpose of the stay. For a stay of more than 90 days, a residence permit must be applied for in the country.
No proof of vaccination is required for direct entry from Germany. However, the Federal Foreign Office recommends checking the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute and completing them if necessary.
The summer months are ideal for a beach holiday on the Mediterranean coast of Montenegro. Summer temperatures can be expected from May to October. Montenegro is located in south-east Europe on the southern Adriatic Sea, between Bosnia-Herzegovina and Albania. On the Montenegrin coast, the climate is Mediterranean with correspondingly hot, dry summers and moderately cool winter months with comparatively high rainfall.
