A day in the exciting city. We are happy to help you plan an exciting day out. A day could look like this: Treat yourself to an extensive English breakfast before walking to the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace. From there, walk through St James's Park to Westminster Abbey and Big Ben.

A short boat trip on the Thames takes you to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London - perfect for a historical insight. In the afternoon, take a walk along the Southbank: Street food at Borough Market, art at the Tate Modern and spectacular views from the London Eye.

Your round trip through England's fascinating south begins. A few interesting stops are worth making on the way to Bath. How about a visit to Windsor Castle, the official country residence of the British royal couple, who fulfil representative duties there. The picturesque village of Lacock is a must-see for film fans: Harry Potter and Downtown Abbey, among others, were filmed here: the entire village seems to have stood the test of time, with charming, unspoilt buildings dating back to the 14th century. Bath is particularly famous for its Roman baths and Georgian architecture. The city was an important spa centre in Roman times, and the Roman Baths are one of the best-preserved Roman spas in the world. Bath is also known for its thermal springs, which are still used today in modern spas. The city also attracts literary enthusiasts, as Jane Austen spent several years in Bath, which is commemorated by the Jane Austen Centre. The city also boasts the Royal Crescent and Bath Abbey, which are impressive examples of Georgian architecture.

Bath is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognised for its historical significance and beauty. Literature fans should also visit Mary Shelley's House of Frankenstein. Here you can discover the life of the famous author and the creation of her iconic work "Frankenstein". A fascinating insight into the dark history of Mary Shelley and her work awaits you.

End the day with a trip to Avebury Stone Circle, one of the largest prehistoric stone circles in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you can experience the mystical atmosphere of the ancient stones at your leisure and immerse yourself in the history of the Neolithic period.

On the way to Bideford, you can make a small diversions via Castle Combe. The picturesque village is often described as one of the most beautiful in England. The well-preserved, traditional cottages and idyllic surroundings make it the perfect place for a relaxing stroll. Glastonbury is also worth a visit: Glastonbury Abbey and Tor Hill are associated with the legends of King Arthur and the Holy Grail.

The charming market town of Bideford is picturesquely situated on the Tarka Trail close to the coast at the mouth of the River Torridge - walking and nature: Bideford is part of the Tarka Trail, a popular walking route that leads through beautiful landscapes including woodland, meadows and along the river. The surrounding area offers numerous opportunities for outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking and fishing. The journey from Bideford to Falmouth takes you along the picturesque Cornish coast and offers numerous worthwhile stops. Not far from Bideford is the picturesque, car-free village of Clovelly. Stroll through the steep, cobbled streets and enjoy the breathtaking view of the sea.

We continue to the impressive Hartland Point. The viewpoint offers fantastic views of the rugged coastal landscapes and the sea, ideal for a photo. Take a detour to Tintagel, famous for the legend of King Arthur. Tintagel Castle sits dramatically on the cliffs and offers a fascinating historical experience, the walk along the cliff top is beautiful! The charming seaside town of Padstow is famous for its fresh seafood and is a popular stop for a leisurely lunch break.

Stroll along the harbour and enjoy the typical British atmosphere. Continue to St Ives, a picturesque coastal town known for its art scene and beautiful beaches. Here you can take another break and stroll through the streets with their galleries and cafés.

The journey from Falmouth to Exeter takes you through beautiful south-west England and offers numerous picturesque stops and sights along the way.

About 20 minutes north of Falmouth you will find Trelissick Gardens, famous for its beautiful flora and picturesque setting. Enjoy a short walk through the gardens or relax on the banks of the River Fal.
Continue to Truro, the capital of Cornwall. Truro Cathedral is well worth a visit, as the impressive architecture and peaceful atmosphere here are mesmerising. If you have time, stroll through the picturesque streets and browse the original shops. Leaving Truro behind, head towards Bodmin Moor, a vast, remote moorland area that provides a dramatic contrast to the coastal villages.

Exeter, with its historic city centre and charming atmosphere, offers a perfect blend of culture, history and modern flair. Start your day with a visit to the impressive Exeter Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. This majestic 12th century cathedral not only boasts stunning stained glass, but also a peaceful atmosphere that soothes the mind. Afterwards, immerse yourself in Exeter's history and discover the Underground Passages - a network of underground tunnels once used to supply water to the city. Then visit St Nicholas Priory, a fascinating historic building that provides an insight into medieval life in Exeter.

In the evening, we recommend dinner in a restaurant on the Quayside, with a view of the river. The atmosphere in this area is particularly atmospheric, especially at sunset. There are a variety of restaurants offering regional cuisine.

On your journey to Salisbury, there are plenty of opportunities to experience the culture, history and nature of England's south. The small village of Honiton is famous for its lace, and here you can stroll through the streets, browse for souvenirs in one of the charming shops and enjoy a coffee in a cosy café. Plan a visit to the coastal village of Sidmouth: Take time to stroll along Sidmouth Beach and enjoy the views of the Channel. A stroll in Connaught Gardens or along the Esplanade Walk offers fantastic views of the coast. 30 minutes from Salisbury is the impressive town of Shaftesbury - the famous Gold Hill with its steep, cobbled streets is a highlight. This historic town provides a wonderful backdrop for photos and a short walk.
