On this day, you will first fly for approximately two hours to Chachapoyas. There, a stay amidst impressive natural and cultural landscapes awaits you.
You are taking part in a guided hike through an ancient cloud forest and are standing at the foot of one of the tallest waterfalls in the world. The Gocta Falls are around 2,000 feet (approximately 600 metres) high, making them the third-highest waterfall in South America – and as they are relatively remote, they are rarely visited.
You will also learn the secrets of the ancient Chachapoya culture and visit their sarcophagi hidden high in the mountains and in the cloud forest.

A particularly authentic way to discover Patagonia is on horseback: you'll ride through open steppes and along glacial rivers, following the traditional paths of past generations. The pace is unhurried, the vastness impressive, and the connection to nature immediate.
You'll also encounter the gauchos – the traditional nomadic cattle herders of the Pampas. Chile has an extremely diverse climate: from the dry Atacama Desert in the north to humid, cool Patagonia in the south. Peru combines arid coastal regions with a temperate highland climate. The Amazon, on the other hand, is hot, humid and rainy all year round. The remote Easter Island has a mild, oceanic climate. These contrasts reflect the enormous geographical diversity of South America and characterise life there significantly.
