The Spirit of the island - the Tierra Chiloé Adventure and Spa Hotel celebrates its unique surroundings, celebrates Chiloé traditions and invites you to immerse yourself in the special flair of the archipelago.
Natural materials and soft natural colours create harmony with the surrounding nature, open rooms and strikingly large windows create a direct connection with nature and offer a fantastic view into the distance.
This special boutique hotel promises authentic experiences in comfortable luxury and is located on a hill near the sea, surrounded by green hills with colourful wildflowers, indigenous forests and the Pullao wetlands, where endemic birds and marine animals can be observed.
The hotel has only 24 rooms with sea views. The design of the hotel is inspired by the local architecture. The larch wood shingles give the building a picturesque appearance. Inside, the walls and ceilings are lined with cypress wood.
The construction rests on concrete pillars, a reference to the "palafitos", the local fishermen's stilt houses.
Chilotic craftsmanship - including wicker baskets, hand-woven carpets and carvings - adorns the hotel rooms. Large windows offer views of the sea, the tranquil Rilán Peninsula, several offshore islands and the Andes.
The hotel restaurant offers regional specialities prepared from local produce.
Room
Each of the 24 rooms in the Tierra Hotel comes with a view of the water. The interior design is inspired by the local heritage of the area: handmade furniture, locally woven fabrics and lots of wood characterise the rooms.
The natural lightness is transported and shows the most beautiful sides of the archipelago, such as green pastures, dramatic coastlines and picturesque cliffs.
There are cosy Pullao rooms decorated with traditional elements from the island of Chiloé, wood panelling large, comfortable beds and offer a view from the wide window of the Pullao wetlands, which are home to an abundance of wading birds.
The Superior Rilan rooms offer a view of the bay of the Pacific Ocean, with the opportunity to experience the sunrise over the water.
Enjoy deep bathtubs and hand-knitted slippers made from the softest Chilean wool, which you can keep.
Gastronomy
At the Tierra Chiloé restaurant, you will be spoilt with fresh produce from the local fishing community. Seafood such as mussels, sea urchins and other delicacies from the daily catch await you alongside homemade bread, pastries and local specialities such as the traditional curanto.
The ritual, in which meat and fish are cooked outdoors over hot stones in pits and then covered with nalca leaves and cooked further, is accompanied by an accordion player.
You will experience an extremely authentic Chilean feast.
