Arrive in the morning and transfer to the Lakefront Hotel on the shores of Lake Spendard - the only hotel in Alaska's capital city located on a lake. If you're looking for a change of scenery, Earthquake Park, the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, Kincaid Park and the Aviation Museum are all nearby, and Anchorage city centre is only four miles away. In the hotel restaurant, you can get in the mood for the coming days in the Alaskan wilderness with bison burgers and jumbo king crab.

Take a taxi to the nearby seaplane airport on Lake Hood. The flight to Winterlake Lodge takes around 50 minutes and is quite an experience: between the towering peaks of the Tordrillo and Alaska Range, you land by seaplane on the property's kilometre-long lake. From the air, you can see the five huge, handcrafted log cabins and the central main lodge on the shore. Each cabin is completely different and uniquely built to accommodate any size group. The décor is suitably rustic and luxurious with L'Occitane bath products, a spacious living room, stove and private deck with rocking chairs from which the view is lost in the dramatic landscape.

The days are at leisure. Take advantage of the activities offered by the lodge: Yoga, meditation and stretching classes are offered daily in the lodge's wellness room. A 50-minute massage is included in your package. The wilderness invites you to be active: whether kayaking on the lake, hiking around the property along the historic Iditarod Sled Dog Trail, sport fishing for salmon and rainbow trout or heli-trekking to glaciers: The experienced guides make sure exploring is safe, easy and fun. In summer you can swim in the lake, go on garden tours and swim in the Happy River, while in winter sled dog tours and heli-skiing are the order of the day. After your Alaskan adventures, relax in the outdoor hot tub and gaze out over the mountain range. In the morning, at lunchtime and in the evening, the chefs conjure up true masterpieces from local treasures. For example, foraged wild berries and freshly caught Pacific salmon are served on your plate. On your glacier and river excursions, you will have a lovingly prepared picnic with you.
You take another seaplane to travel to another wilderness lodge. The exciting flight over the vastness of Alaska to Tutka Bay Lodge on Kachemak Bay takes around 1.5 hours. Once again you will find yourself in heavenly seclusion. In addition to the main house, the lodge has six individually designed cabins, which are connected to each other by footbridges. From here you can enjoy very impressive views of the bay, the mountains and the national park. The restaurant offers gourmet meals.

Choose from the many excursion options offered by the lodge. We recommend bear watching, among other things. You fly for about an hour in a Cessna-206 to a remote beach - the flight over the dramatic volcanic and glacial landscape is an experience in itself! After landing, you hike along the coast for around three hours and observe brown bears foraging on the coast and in the sedge grass fields. Another popular activity at Tutka Bay Lodge is sea kayaking. You paddle along the coast and out to the herring islands. You keep an eye out for seabirds, otters and sometimes even whales. Tutka Bay Lodge also offers fishing, birding, river rafting, glacier trekking, mountain biking and hiking tours. After an exciting day in the overwhelming nature, relax in the hot tub or the wood-fuelled sauna.
The seaplane takes you back to Anchorage airport. Your flight to Miami begins in the evening.

Miami is a fascinating mix of business, culture and of course the wonderfully wide beaches. The wide South Beach is right in front of your hotel. But Miami is far too exciting to spend your days lazing on the beach.

Private city tour
A German-speaking tour guide will welcome you at the hotel with a luxury off-road vehicle and chauffeur. He will show you the Art Deco District with its elegant Art Deco houses on Ocean Drive and Little Havana, Miami's colourful Cuban neighbourhood. Also exciting are Wynwood Walls, the Urban Graffiti Art Museum, and the Miami Design District, a modern neighbourhood with lots of public art as well as elegant shops and art galleries. We will be happy to reserve a table for you at the trendy Italian restaurant Forte de Marmi, which serves upscale Italian cuisine.
Shopping in the Bal Harbour Shops
The Bal Harbour Shops are an exquisite collection of designer boutiques, department stores and restaurants in a tropical garden setting. The internationally renowned shopping centre is a favourite haunt for celebrities and fashionistas. The selection of fashion boutiques in the Bal Harbour Shops includes legendary brands such as Alexander McQueen, CH Carolina Herrera, Chanel, Etro, Gucci, Stella McCartney, Oscar de la Renta, Prada, Tory Burch and Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. For a snack in between, we will be happy to reserve you a table at the acclaimed Japanese restaurant Makoto, which is famous for its innovative interpretations of Asian classics. For the evening, we recommend the Mila Restaurant, Rooftop Lounge & Mixology Bar.
Boat trip
Take a private, stylish motor yacht to spend a morning discovering Miami Beach from the water. The wide sandy beach lined with skyscrapers is particularly impressive from the water. Your yacht will also take you to beautiful bays for snorkelling and swimming. In the evening, we recommend Cipriani, an Italian restaurant on the waterfront in downtown Miami. We will be happy to book a table for you.
Everglades
A private luxury off-road vehicle with a chauffeur and German-speaking guide takes you to the Everglades, the huge swamp area at the southern tip of Florida. It is a special treat to speed over the water and reeds in an airboat. This brings you very close to giant alligators. In the evening, the Milos Estorio is a good address. Here, classic Greek cuisine is served in artfully arranged surroundings.
You can still use your luxurious room at The Setai until check-out in the late morning. We then recommend a farewell lunch at Smith & Wollensky Steakhouse in South Point Park at the southern end of Miami Beach. You will then travel to Miami Airport in a luxury SUV. Flight to Germany in the evening.

The Lakefront Anchorage is located on the shores of Lake Spenard next to Lake Hood, the largest and busiest seaplane base in the world. It is the only hotel in Anchorage located on a lake. Getting here is a breeze: the hotel is close to Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, and downtown Anchorage is only four miles away.
Room
The rooms are approx. 33 m² in size and have an authentic, modern Alaskan ambience with earthy tones and lots of dark wood. The 69 m² suites offer a separate living and dining room. Some guest rooms overlook the lake.

Tutka Bay Lodge is located in a private bay in a rugged, 9-mile-long ancient glacial fjord on the edge of Kachemak Bay State Park. At the Ocean Grill, you can sit under large umbrellas overlooking the water - the Atlantic Ocean and the three hotel pools alike. The Ocean Grill offers a Mediterranean-inspired menu.

Summer here begins in June and ends in September. In July, the thermometer reaches up to 15 degrees. Winter is long and cold with -10 degrees in Anchorage in January. It rains the least in May and the most in September.
Miami has a tropical, humid monsoon climate. Summers are hot with temperatures of up to 32°C. The rainy season lasts from May to October. The dry season in the winter and spring months brings milder temperatures. Miami is particularly prone to hurricanes between June and November.
