Riding a horse along the beach - a dream of many horse lovers. The Jasmine Horse Stable in Soma Bay offers various horse riding excursions: Adventures through the desert and along the beach, preferably at sunset. Professionals are just as welcome as beginners. And children are also catered for: some goats and Heidi the donkey guarantee entertaining rides and activities.

The The View RestaurantThe hotel's main restaurant has a large terrace with a beautiful view of the lagoon and pool area. The day begins with a rich breakfast buffet that leaves nothing to be desired. Egyptian and international specialities are served at the main meals. Dishes are prepared live in front of your eyes at four live cooking stations.
In the Bamboo Shoot Restaurant you can embark on a culinary journey through the Asian continent. Japan, China and Thailand were the inspiration for the extensive menu. You can watch the sushi chef prepare the small delicacies.
The Al Mar Restaurant & Bar is located at the foot of the large main pool and awaits you for lunch à la carte and refreshing drinks. Savour grilled dishes, salads, pizza and desserts.
The Beachcomber Bar on the beach serves fresh juices, cocktails, beer and light snacks - brought directly to your sun lounger.
The Sultan Lobby Lounge is the ideal place to round off the day with a drink: Fine aperitifs, premium spirits and classic cocktails take centre stage in the relaxed bar with live music on the terrace.
The Cascades Spa and Thalasso offers the ultimate in relaxation. It is one of the best-equipped spas in the region in the immediate vicinity of the hotel - you can reach the facility with a free shuttle bus. Lagoon view room (39 m²)
These rooms have a balcony or terrace and overlook the hotel's vast lagoon landscape. Some rooms are equipped with a bench or chairs. Rooms with connecting doors are available for families with children. The furnishings are bright and friendly, with ceramic tiles on the floor and lots of wood.
Side sea view room (39 m²)
Most of these rooms are located on a higher floor so that you have a partial or side view of the sea. The rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished and have a balcony or terrace. You can relax on sofas or armchairs.

In these rooms you have an uninterrupted view of the deep blue sea and the beach. There is a table and chairs on your balcony or terrace for a relaxing stay. Rooms with connecting doors are available for families.
Laguna Club room with lounge access (39 - 42 m²)
The airy rooms with balcony or terrace offer special personalised amenities: You have access to the Laguna Club Loungewhere you will experience five culinary delights throughout the day: Afternoon tea is offered in addition to the usual main meals, as well as an evening selection of chocolates and sweets. Junior Suite sea view or side sea view (45 - 75 m²)

Deluxe Suite (75 - 120 m²)

Terrace Suite (90 - 120 m²)

Presidential suite (145 - 185 m²)
These suites are the largest and most sumptuous in the resort, a prime example of opulent luxury and privacy. They are located in the main building in a separate area, a marvellous retreat. Both suites (one with terrace, one with large balcony) offer a living room with dining table, sofa, armchair and large TV, as well as a large bedroom with lots of wood, a large terrace or balcony with deckchairs and lounge furniture and a hammam-style marble bathroom. A butler service is available on request.
German citizens require a passport to enter the country, which must be valid for at least 6 months after travelling.
German citizens require a visa to enter the country. This can be applied for prior to entry at an Egyptian mission abroad, since December 2017 as an "e-visa" or also on arrival.

There are no vaccination requirements for direct entry from Germany. The Federal Foreign Office recommends checking the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute for children and adults (see: www.rki.de) when travelling and completing them if necessary.
The country's climate ranges from Mediterranean on the Mediterranean coast and in the Nile Delta to desert-like in Cairo, Middle and Upper Egypt.
The best time to visit Egypt as a whole is from mid-March to mid-May and from mid-September to mid-November. This excludes the very hot and dry summer months and the somewhat cooler winter months, when temperatures are lower, especially at night. In spring, from March to June, a hot sand and dust wind, the Chamsin, often blows through the country from the south.
