The Nautilus is located on the small green island of Thilaidhoo in the heart of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in the Baa Atoll and is part of the Maldives. Surrounded by palm trees and snow-white sandy beaches, the island has a diameter of 250 metres.
You fly to Velana International Airport in Malé, the capital of the Maldives. A member of The Nautilus staff will meet you directly at the aircraft and take you to the VIP terminal for immigration clearance. From there, it's just a short walk to The Nautilus private lounge, where you can wait for the 35-minute seaplane transfer to Baa Atoll.
A colourful wonderland of fascinating marine life is waiting to be discovered by you in the Baa Atoll. Take a trip to the world-famous Hanifaru Bay. Dive into the turquoise lagoon and swim with whale sharks and manta rays while exploring the colourful coral reefs. At Relais & Châteaux member The Nautilus Beach & Ocean Houses, you can dine when and what you like, always at the highest level. The restaurants have no fixed opening hours - you have breakfast when you want to have breakfast. You can also try unscripted dining in the three restaurants and the pool bar. This means you can order whatever you feel like. The menus only serve as a source of inspiration, the chef creates individual dishes according to your wishes and taste. However, if you would like to follow the chef's recommendations, you can expect a fine mix of Mediterranean and Oriental cuisine, Japanese and Latin American grill creations and global delicacies.
Special feature: There are no shoes and no dress code in the restaurants.

These are called "Houses" and "Residences" and invite you to feel at home immediately with their high-end level of comfort and interior design.

The Nautilus is one of the best resorts in the Maldives. 26 beach and oceanfront villas line the dream beach, each a personal retreat with its own living room, dedicated butler service and private pool, combining the comforts of home with a cool bohemian style that invites you into the barefoot life of luxury hotel living.
Each of the 26 houses is a suite with a living room and one, two or three bedrooms.
15 of them are located on the beach between coconut palms and tropical greenery. 11 houses float on stilts directly above the blue lagoon. The light-flooded rooms in tropical-inspired boho chic are complemented by a private pool overlooking the ocean and the rich coral reef.
Each house and residence comes with a private house captain (butler) who takes care of every detail and ensures that all your wishes are fulfilled.
1-Bedroom-Beach-House:
You will stay in the spacious 280 square metre 1-bedroom beach house. The elegant accommodation is just a few steps away from the sea and the hotel's own reef.
The oval bedroom with adjoining living room opens onto an open, private sun deck with beach and sea views. A Maldivian swing near the private pool and a glass bathroom with garden view, free-standing bathtub and separate rain shower as well as an outdoor shower are among the amenities of your home.
1-Bedroom-Ocean-House:
Embrace life above water in your own Maldives Ocean Villa in the middle of the turquoise lagoon. Here, at Ocean House Maldives, a spacious sundeck with steps leading down to the lagoon awaits you, while your own private infinity pool blends with the blue of the ocean. Enjoy intimate seclusion in a one-bedroom suite for two. Or bond with family or friends in a residence with ample space and privacy in an overwater villa, here in the Maldives.

It is warm all year round in the Maldives, the climate is tropical with high humidity. The driest months are from October to May, between June and September it can rain more often. The cheapest time to travel is from May to September, with most tour operators charging higher prices, especially over Christmas and New Year.
German nationals require a visa to enter the Maldives. Tourist visas for a stay of 30 days are available on arrival. It is possible to extend the tourist visa to 90 days on site.
There are no vaccination requirements for travellers who have only stayed in Germany before travelling to the Maldives. The Federal Foreign Office recommends checking the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute before travelling and completing them if necessary.
