For the little ones
Niyama offers a particularly varied programme for children of all ages.
The "Explorers Children's Club" looks after children from 1 to 12 years of age. The children's club is free of charge for children aged 3 years and over, for children aged 1-3 years there is a maximum charge of USD 100 per day, payable locally.
German nationals require a passport and visa to enter the country. Tourist visas of up to 30 days are issued on entry to the Maldives.
The passport must be valid for at least six months upon entry.
There are no vaccination requirements for direct entry from Germany. The Federal Foreign Office recommends the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute for children and adults (see: www.rki.de) when travelling and complete them if necessary.
The Maldives has a tropical climate with consistently warm temperatures all year round. There are no classic seasons in the Maldives. The climate is characterised by the southwest and northeast monsoon. The south-west monsoon brings rain to the islands from May to October. From November to April, the north-east monsoon brings more sunshine and less rain. Humidity is very high all year round.
