A valid passport is required to enter Aruba. German, Austrian and Swiss nationals travelling for up to 30 days do not require a visa.
When entering the country, an entry form, the ED Card (Embarkation-Disembarkation Card), must be completed. The entry card can also be applied for online before travelling.
Aruba is an ideal holiday destination with its stable, warm weather and refreshing sea breeze, making the island a perfect place to visit at any time of year. As one of the ABC islands, Aruba benefits from its position close to the equator and its location on the Venezuelan coast, resulting in a dry, warm climate with little rain. Another advantage is that Aruba is rarely affected by hurricanes.
Every traveller to Aruba should have the standard vaccinations generally recommended for Germany, in particular an up-to-date vaccination against tetanus (tetanus), diphtheria, pertussis (whooping cough), measles and a basic immunisation against poliomyelitis/polio.
Depending on age and state of health, further recommendations may be made. Adequate protection against hepatitis A (jaundice) or hepatitis B is also recommended.
