Sveti Stefan is a small Adriatic island near Budva in. A short causeway connects the small island, which covers an area of just 1.46 hectares, to the mainland. The Hotel Aman Sveti Stefan has leased the entire island - hotel guests stay in the historic houses dating back to the 15th century. A total of 51 suites are available.

The slate-lined and glass-enclosed pool is the spa's crowning glory and stretches from indoors to outdoors.
Fitness
The 140 m² fitness centre is equipped with modern Technogym equipment for cardiovascular and strength training. The resort's personal trainers are available for individual training programmes, including private kickboxing classes and tailored bodywork sessions, including yoga and Pilates, in a dedicated studio.
Rehydrate, massage, cleanse and soothe
The spa's signature Adriatic Rejuvenation treatment utilises the wealth of medicinal herbs and organic healing ingredients that grow wild on the Montenegrin coast. After an oat milk bath to rehydrate the skin, the spa's massage therapists apply an exfoliating blend of mint-infused olive oil, wild honey and raw sugar to cleanse and moisturise the skin. They then use lavender and palmarosa oils to rebalance the body and calm the mind.
Beaches
Relax and swim at three beaches at once: The pink sand Queen's Beach winds around an emerald green lagoon and is one of the most enchanting spots on the Montenegrin coast. The resort's Aman Spa is located just off the beach, and there is a range of non-motorised water sports equipment. The pink pebble beach of Sveti Stefan lies opposite the island of Sveti Stefan and stretches north and south on both sides of the isthmus. It is lined with sunbeds, which are looked after by the Aman Sveti Stefan beach team. King's Beach is a beautiful, pink-coloured sandy beach located between Sveti Stefan Beach and Queen's Beach and is bordered by Villa Miločer. It is accessible to guests and non-guests by boat from Sveti Stefan, and a path through the coastal vegetation to the north leads directly to Queen's Beach.
Helicopter tours
Experience Montenegro from the air on a private helicopter tour for up to five people. Fly over the Bay of Kotor and the old towns of Perast, Budva and Ulcinj or take a sightseeing flight over Lovcen National Park and Cetinje, up to the impressive glacial lakes and limestone peaks of Durmitor National Park in the north.

Arva
Arva means "cultivated" and is Aman's homage to the earthy, heart-warming dishes of Italy in selected Amans worldwide. The Montenegrin version is located on the island of Sveti Stefan with two stone terraces offering a breathtaking view of the bay. Thanks to its fertile soils, varied microclimate and Adriatic waters, Montenegro is blessed with an exceptional range of fresh produce and local seafood, which is showcased on Arva's menu. Paired with the region's unique wines, these seasonal, sustainable and locally sourced ingredients are combined with imported produce from some of Italy's most renowned niche suppliers.
The Piazza
The heart and soul of the island: this open-air space is home to a terrace with sea views, a cellar-like interior and a cosy antipasti bar that is open in the early evening. The taverna is the hub of the piazza and serves a simple European and American breakfast as well as fresh Mediterranean dishes for lunch and dinner.
As you stroll across the piazza at any time of day, you will be reluctant to leave its relaxed embrace. Sample local wines on the terraces of the Enoteca overlooking the sea or savour a taster of local delicacies at the antipasti bar. When night falls, settle down in the tavern, where flickering candlelight emphasises every delicious bite. The Montenegrin cuisine celebrated by the piazza's unique eateries is as diverse as the country's varied landscapes. Cooking under the dome (izpod sača) is a technique for roasting meat and vegetables and baking bread: a large metal lid in the shape of a flat bell, the sač, is covered with ash and hot coals.
Villa Miločer
Both the dining room and the loggia terrace of Villa Miločer - the historic stone villa that was once the summer residence of the Montenegrin royal family - are open all year round for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Both the dining room and the tranquil loggia offer magnificent views of the island of Sveti Stefan and the bay, and serve a variety of classic and modern dishes from the Adriatic region. The simple, elegant menu is based on fresh produce and locally caught seafood. In keeping with the villa's graceful past, the dining room provides an intimate setting for fine Montenegrin cuisine. Only a handful of tables are arranged around a large open fireplace. Contemporary furniture and hand-woven woollen carpets complete the picture. The loggia between the royal villa and the beach is a wisteria-covered colonnade, under which tables and large deckchairs provide a shady retreat and a breathtaking view of the beach and the bay. This is probably the most romantic terrace in all of Europe.
Cliff Pool Bar
Next to the idyllic infinity pool for adults on the island of Sveti Stefan, the Cliff Pool Bar serves light snacks and refreshments throughout the day. The bar and pool are surrounded by pine trees and offer magnificent views of the Adriatic Sea and Budva Bay, making it a picturesque venue for special events and celebrations.
Rakija Bar
The Rakija Bar is the ideal place to admire the sunset over the sea and watch the lights of Budva sparkle over the water. It is the most important bar on the island of Sveti Stefan. Attached to the Arva restaurant, it offers an extensive and imaginative cocktail menu, with local spirits - such as the rakija fruit brandy that gives the bar its name - taking centre stage.
The wine of the Aman Sveti Stefan
The rare Vranac vines in Montenegro produce a dry red wine that is unique in the Balkans. The name of the grape, which is a distant ancestor of Zinfandel and Primitivo, means "black stallion" - an allusion to its strong flavour. In collaboration with local winemaker Goran Radevic of Radevic Estate, Aman is proud to preserve this exceptional grape variety in its signature wine, Aman Sveti Stefan Vranac.
The island of Sveti Stefan, a fortified village dating back to the 15th century, offers a unique atmosphere with cobbled streets, characteristic courtyards and tranquil sea views. Village Room
The intimate Village Rooms at Aman Sveti Stefan offer 45 - 50 square metres of modern living space while preserving the warmth and charm of the islanders' original homes. Furnished with earthy materials such as wood and stone, they preserve the history and character of the region, while a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom provide comfort and privacy in abundance.
Cottage
The cottages at Aman Sveti Stefan are between 45 and 90 square metres in size and reflect the character of the authentic Montenegrin fishermen's houses, which are connected by cobbled streets. Elegantly decorated in soft natural tones, the rooms are bright, airy and spacious and feature a king-size bed for a good night's sleep, a private bathroom and, in some cases, a living room and dressing room. The cottages, which retain both history and charm, are an idyllic base for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside.
Deluxe Cottage
Aman Sveti Stefan's Deluxe Cottages are modelled on the original houses of the islanders and offer 60 to 100 m² of living space, providing guests with a secluded retreat with plenty of space and privacy. The cottages' king-size beds are ideal for couples and offer a luxurious sleeping space, and some have separate living and dressing rooms. Paying homage to traditional architecture, the rooms are furnished with natural materials, with a palette of earthy colours creating a tranquil atmosphere in which to relax and unwind.
Grand Cottage
The 110 m² Grand Cottage at Aman Sveti Stefan offers guests a unique corner of the island of Sveti Stefan. With a spacious king-size bedroom, a separate living area and a large bathroom, the room is ideal for couples seeking a quiet, private retreat. Modern amenities are in harmony with traditional design accents, creating a modern village feel where a nature-inspired aesthetic brings the outdoors in.
St Sava Cottage
At 105 m², St. Sava Cottage offers original island features with a private, north-facing terrace overlooking Miloč Bay and Sveti Stefan beach - ideal for watching the sunset. Two bedrooms, both with king-size beds, offer guests comfort and privacy, while a spacious shared bathroom with bathtub, separate shower and WC as well as a dressing area make the house perfect for families. The master bedroom has an integrated living area for a little more space, and the nature-inspired décor creates a sense of serenity.
Two Bedroom Suite
The 145 m² two-bedroom suite is well suited to families with children, offering a unique country house feel and a peaceful retreat with views of Sveti Stefan and Miloč Bay. Amidst the cobbled streets of Sveti Stefan island, a private courtyard connects two separate buildings to create a unique three-bedroom holiday home ideal for families with children. Villa Miločer
Once the summer residence of Queen Marija Karadjordjevic, Villa Miločer overlooks the Adriatic Sea from its location on the mainland and is surrounded on three sides by dense cedar, pine and olive forests. The stone-built manor house is home to elegant suites as well as an airy communal living room, a large meeting room and a book-filled library.
Queen Marija Suite
The 210 m² Queen Marija Suites are named after the monarch who once spent her summers at Villa Miločer. Housed in a separate building next to the 19th-century villa, they offer a choice of sea or garden views from their terraces - a tranquil retreat steeped in history in one of the most private areas of the resort. The suites are decorated in a contemporary style, carefully blending old world charm with modern touches. They feature a king-size bedroom, a living room with fireplace and an en-suite bathroom with a large free-standing bathtub.
Miločer Sea View Suite
Located on the mainland overlooking the Adriatic Sea, Villa Miločer is just a stone's throw away from the island of Sveti Stefan, but is set amidst a lush cedar forest and offers direct access to the beach and the nearby Aman Spa. Overlooking the calm turquoise waters from a Juliet balcony, the villa's Sea View Miločer Suites offer a tranquil retreat for couples seeking privacy, elegance and character. At 70 square metres, there is a king-size bedroom, an en-suite bathroom with a free-standing bathtub and a separate living area with a fireplace that transports the charm of the 19th century into the present day.
Miločer Garden View Suite
Surrounded on three sides by a deep forest of cedar, pine and olive trees, Villa Miločer offers privacy and exclusivity just a few hundred metres from the island of Sveti Stefan. The villa's Garden View Suites are spacious and exclusive, offering guests 70 square metres of space and a Juliet balcony overlooking the tranquil gardens that surround them. Entry is possible for German nationals with the following documents: passport (also provisional), identity card (for a stay of up to 30 days or for transit) and children's passport. All documents should be valid for 3 months upon entry. Entry to Montenegro is visa-free for stays of up to 90 days, regardless of the purpose of the stay. For a stay of more than 90 days, a residence permit must be applied for in the country.
No proof of vaccination is required for direct entry from Germany. However, the Federal Foreign Office recommends checking the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute and completing them if necessary.
The summer months are ideal for a beach holiday on the Mediterranean coast of Montenegro. Summer temperatures can be expected from May to October. Montenegro is located in south-east Europe on the southern Adriatic Sea, between Bosnia-Herzegovina and Albania. On the Montenegrin coast, the climate is Mediterranean with correspondingly hot, dry summers and moderately cool winter months with comparatively high rainfall.
