One of the most interesting experiences is spending the night below the surface surrounded by thousands of fish, their scales reflecting the soft moonlight.
As well as being able to observe the underwater life in their unique room, guests can also explore traditional life on Pemba Island. These include deep-sea fishing, diving, snorkelling, sailing, rainforest walks and sandbank walks.
Each guest has a personal carer who will not only help you with your needs at the resort, but can also invite you to their village to meet their family.

Located directly on the seafront, the Seafront Villas offer breathtaking views of the ocean. The villas are spacious and offer privacy in an open-plan design.
Each villa has an extended balcony and a private plunge pool. They are perfectly furnished with traditional Pemban décor and modern comforts. The EveningBreeze cooling system ensures an optimal night's sleep.
The Standard Garden Rooms offer cosy comfort in the middle of the garden of Pemba Island. These rooms are compact in design yet offer everything you need for a relaxing stay. These include a four-post king-size bed, an open-plan en-suite bathroom and a private garden with outdoor shower. The design is a combination of local materials, traditional Pemban décor and modern comforts. A small balcony offers guests a shady place to relax.
Nestled in the resort's peaceful garden, the Superior Garden Rooms offer an oasis of peace and relaxation.
Each room has a spacious and private open-plan design, a four-poster king-size bed and a large en-suite bathroom. A special highlight is the private garden with outdoor shower. The design combines local materials and traditional Pemban decoration with contemporary comfort. A large Swahili Baraza lounge invites you to relax.
German citizens require a passport valid for at least six months and a visa to travel to Tanzania. This can be applied for at the Tanzanian embassy and on arrival at the international airport. Further information can be obtained from the embassy: www.tanzania-gov.de.

Tanzania has a mild, tropical climate all year round. The best time to visit is from June to September. The rainy season is from March to May and from October to November.
There are no vaccination requirements for direct entry from Germany. When travelling to Zanzibar, proof of yellow fever vaccination is required. As the authorities there regard entry from the mainland as arrival from an endemic area, proof of yellow fever vaccination is required for onward travel to the island.
The Federal Foreign Office recommends the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute for children and adults (see: www.rki.de) when travelling and complete them if necessary.
