Raja Ampat
Raja Ampat is home to the most diverse underwater habitats in the world. Everywhere, the many mesmerising shades of blue and turquoise of Raja Ampat's waters provide a varied feast for the eyes and invite you to dive in. Due to the diversity of underwater habitats, Raja Ampat is a thriving subterranean "metropolis", home to more than 1,300 species of tropical marine fish (about 50 % of all known species) and more than 600 species of coral (almost 75 % of all species), as well as manta rays, rare species of sea turtles and schooling hammerheads.
Cape Kri in the Dampier Strait notably holds the world record for the most species counted in a single dive (374 in total). This unique underwater splendour of nature happens to be in the middle of an important migration and aggregation area for whales and dolphin species. Also of great importance is the fact that the region is the meeting point of the Indian and Pacific Oceans, the so-called Indonesian Throughflow. An average height difference of 15 cm between these two oceans leads to an immense exchange of water, which not only transports millions of water masses but also vast quantities of eggs and larvae, which also serve as an important food source for marine animals. At the same time, the cooler water from deep-sea trenches and pools has also contributed to the impressive biodiversity of Raja Ampat.
These environments provided shelter for marine life from glacial waters during the Ice Age and today provide natural protection from rising sea temperatures that have led to the decolourisation of other relatively unprotected coral habitats, including the Great Barrier Reef and the Maldives. Raja Ampat is equipped with natural geological defences, making it nature's last frontier.

The Aqua Blu is a ship with a history: initially travelling under the name HMS Beagle as a British research vessel, she later became the property of an aristocratic family before the high-calibre Dutch yacht designer Cor. D. Rover turned her into what she is today: the "Aqua Blue".
On the four decks of the Aqua Blu and its 15 suites, the interior design has been tastefully combined with a brass and ivory theme. At the same time, it offers spacious and inviting indoor and outdoor social areas, including a sun deck.
Each of the 15 individually designed suites on board the Aqua Blu is an oasis on the vast East Indonesian Sea. German nationals require a passport to enter the country, which must be valid for at least six months.
Passports that have been reported lost or stolen cannot be used for entry. In recent times, the Indonesian border authorities have repeatedly refused entry to German nationals in such cases.
A visa is currently not required for a tourist stay of up to 30 days.
The import of cash and means of payment with an equivalent value exceeding IDR 100 million (currently approx. EUR 6,300) must be declared to Indonesian customs upon entry. Failure to declare or incorrect declaration is punishable by a fine of up to IDR 300 million.
Indonesia, and therefore Bali, is one of the countries with the strictest drug laws in the world. Even possession of the smallest quantities of drugs often leads to long prison sentences. The death penalty for drug offences is also carried out on foreigners. It is therefore urgently warned against the acquisition, possession, distribution, import and export of narcotics. When importing drugs containing narcotics and psychotropic drugs, it is essential to ensure that these are clearly for personal use only and in the quantity specified in the prescription and are therefore not prohibited as narcotics in Indonesia.
There are no vaccination requirements for direct entry from Germany. The Federal Foreign Office generally recommends checking and completing the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute for children and adults on the occasion of each trip.
As Bali is only a few hundred kilometres from the equator, it has a tropical climate: warm and humid. There are no seasons on the island of Bali, only the rainy season (November to March) and the dry season (April to October). The temperatures are consistently high all year round, ranging from 22°C (at night) to 34°C (during the day).
