Aqua Blu - Bali & Komodo

Welcome - on the road in Komodo National Park!

From Bali and Flores, this sensational 7-night cruise offers you an in-depth exploration of the legendary Komodo National Park and Moyo Island in eastern Indonesia.
Rising from the seas of eastern Indonesia, where two continental plates collide, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Komodo National Park is a natural wonder in every sense of the word. Ancient volcanic activity has created some of the most spectacular coastal areas on earth, with picturesque savannah hills, bays and beaches. The park's dramatic landscape provides the perfect backdrop for breathtaking marine discoveries at some of the best diving and snorkelling sites in the world. Komodo National Park covers an area of 1,817 square kilometres and consists of three main islands - Komodo, Padar and Rinca - and 26 smaller islands. Some of them are inhabited by prehistoric creatures, the indigenous Komodo dragon, which is the largest and truly most impressive lizard species living on earth.

Komodo National Park is located in the so-called Coral Triangle between the large land masses of Sumbawa to the west and Flores to the east and is surrounded by fast-flowing currents from the Indian Ocean and warm tropical seas of Indonesia, which are enriched with volcanic nutrients. The spectacular result is a highly vital habitat that is home to more than 1,000 species of marine life, including the manta ray, sea turtles and mola mola (ocean sunfish), as well as over 260 species of coral. Due to the variety of marine life, this region is worthwhile for divers and non-divers alike. Due to the dry and sunny tropical savannah climate, the Komodo National Park with its varied land and sea experiences is also an ideal starting point for exploring the region.

The speed, stability and long-range capability of the Aqua Blu cruise ship meet the highest luxury travel specifications and guarantee you not only five-star comfort, utmost exclusivity and an unrivalled immersion in the natural wonders of the park. Thanks to their exclusivity and compactness, you can discover otherwise inaccessible marine areas and trekking routes where unique nature and wildlife can be found, often without another boat or human in sight. The best examples of these secluded island paradises are Moyo Island and Saleh Bay. Located between Bali and Komodo National Park, Moyo Island is a nature reserve with unspoilt nature and marine habitats that are virtually untouched by outside influences. A wide variety of flora and fauna awaits explorers like you in the midst of lush green jungle. The absolute highlight is the picturesque Mata Jitu waterfall. Seize the unique opportunity in Selah Bay to observe the congregation of rare whale sharks that have made the bay their sanctuary, and hold your breath as tens of thousands of fruit bats take flight at nightfall.

"Aqua Expeditions is known and loved for its river cruises. But if you want to experience not only more, but also the sea, Aqua Expeditions also offers you this pleasure - on the brand new Aqua Blu, which will embark on its maiden voyage in November 2019.
A polished, 15-suite solitaire that will take you to three different destinations in Indonesia: Komodo National Park, Ambon and the Spice Islands or Raja Ampat, even if you probably won't visit all 1,800 islands in the archipelago. You will be travelling for seven or twelve days - be one of the pioneers on this new cruise ship in a class of its own!"
