The Kiattua Camp is an exceptional retreat in the Arctic wilderness of Greenland – a place where luxury, seclusion, and experiencing nature come together in a unique way. Located about 90 kilometres from Nuuk and only accessible by boat or helicopter, the journey itself begins as part of the adventure. A stay is possible between mid-July and mid-August.
The camp itself is intentionally kept small, designed for a maximum of ten guests. This exclusivity creates an intimate atmosphere where peace and personal space are paramount. Accommodation is provided in spacious, approximately 30 square metre tipi tents, which are sustainably designed yet offer a high level of comfort. Here, ecological awareness merges with a touch of luxury – in the midst of a landscape shaped by glaciers, fjords, and untouched wilderness.
A key feature of Kiattua Camp is its flexibility: there is no rigid daily routine. Instead, each stay is individually designed. Activities can vary depending on interests and weather – from relaxed moments in the quiet of nature to active explorations of the surroundings. Each guest is accompanied by a personal guide, which not only guarantees safety but also enables a deeper understanding of the region.
Travel is usually by flight to Nuuk, for example from Copenhagen or Reykjavik. From there, a boat trip of about 90 minutes through spectacular fjord landscapes leads directly to the camp. Alternatively, a helicopter transfer can be arranged, offering an impressive aerial view of the arctic expanse.

The Saqqaq Camp offers an intense nature experience in one of West Greenland's most impressive regions. Nestled in the vast landscape of Disko Bay, around 110 kilometres from Ilulissat, the focus here is not just on relaxation, but on consciously experiencing the Arctic environment in all its facets. Stays are usually possible between mid-August and September – a time when the landscape transforms and the first Northern Lights illuminate the sky.
Located in the immediate vicinity of the small settlement of Saqqaq, the camp is only accessible by water or air. Travel from Ilulissat is usually by boat and leads through a scenery dominated by icebergs, which already gives a taste of the remoteness of the location. Those who opt for a helicopter experience the dramatic coastal landscape from a completely new perspective.
With a capacity of just eight guests, the camp is specifically aimed at travellers who value quiet, privacy, and individuality. The accommodations are of high quality, while also being designed to emphasise the immediate proximity to nature. Instead of a classic hotel feel, this offers a stay that is deliberately understated yet intensely evocative. The focus is on the connection between experiencing nature and cultural understanding. Activities are flexible and are guided by the guests' interests and local conditions. Whether it's wildlife observation, encounters with icy landscapes, or insights into traditional ways of life – the programme is designed to authentically showcase the region's unique characteristics. Sustainability plays a central role, both in terms of environmental management and respect for local traditions.
Getting to West Greenland usually involves a flight to Ilulissat, for example from Copenhagen or Reykjavík. Even this first part of the journey offers impressive views of the Arctic landscape and marks the beginning of an exceptional stay.

Greenland is NOT part of the Schengen area.
Citizens of EU countries and Switzerland are required to present a valid passport when entering the country. We recommend that the passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond the return date. For a stay of up to 3 months, no visa is required for citizens of EU countries and Switzerland.
Greenland's climate on land is strongly influenced by the sea and the sun. The coastal sections facing the open sea are colder and wetter due to the cold water and floating ice. The further you move inland and towards the ice sheet, the warmer and drier it becomes. During the summer, the average temperature difference between the southernmost and northernmost parts of Greenland is no greater than 2°C. In winter, the difference is much greater. In winter, the difference is much greater and can be up to 30°C. The temperature difference can be up to 5°C due to the location.
