The Aqua Blu is a ship with a history: initially travelling under the name HMS Beagle as a British research vessel, she later became the property of an aristocratic family before the high-calibre Dutch yacht designer Cor. D. Rover turned her into what she is today: the "Aqua Blue".
On the four decks of the Aqua Blu and its 15 suites, the interior design has been tastefully combined with a brass and ivory theme. At the same time, it offers spacious and inviting indoor and outdoor social areas, including a sun deck.
Each of the 15 individually designed suites on board the Aqua Blu is an oasis on the vast East Indonesian Sea. German nationals require a passport to enter the country, which must be valid for at least six months.
Passports that have been reported lost or stolen cannot be used for entry. In recent times, the Indonesian border authorities have repeatedly refused entry to German nationals in such cases.
A visa is currently not required for a tourist stay of up to 30 days.
The import of cash and means of payment with an equivalent value exceeding IDR 100 million (currently approx. EUR 6,300) must be declared to Indonesian customs upon entry. Failure to declare or incorrect declaration is punishable by a fine of up to IDR 300 million.
Indonesia, and therefore Bali, is one of the countries with the strictest drug laws in the world. Even possession of the smallest quantities of drugs often leads to long prison sentences. The death penalty for drug offences is also carried out on foreigners. It is therefore urgently warned against the acquisition, possession, distribution, import and export of narcotics. When importing drugs containing narcotics and psychotropic drugs, it is essential to ensure that these are clearly for personal use only and in the quantity specified in the prescription and are therefore not prohibited as narcotics in Indonesia.
There are no vaccination requirements for direct entry from Germany. The Federal Foreign Office generally recommends checking and completing the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute for children and adults on the occasion of each trip.
As Bali is only a few hundred kilometres from the equator, it has a tropical climate: warm and humid. There are no seasons on the island of Bali, only the rainy season (November to March) and the dry season (April to October). The temperatures are consistently high all year round, ranging from 22°C (at night) to 34°C (during the day).
