Vancouver
Today is free for you to explore on your own.
Fall in love with Vancouver today. The picturesque city in southwest Canada is surrounded by mountains and water and is filled with cultural offerings such as art, theatre and music.
We recommend for your stay in Vancouver:
- Stanley Park:
The 1,000-hectare park is one of the city's main attractions. The huge area is home to beaches, an aquarium, a water park, a golf course, a botanical garden and numerous other leisure facilities.
- Seawall:
Stroll along the almost nine-kilometre trail that starts at the downtown cruise terminal, circles Stanley Park and leads to the Spanish Banks in English Bay. The tarmac path is Vancouver's favourite walking, cycling and jogging route.
- Granville Island:
On Granville Island you have plenty to taste and see, as the peninsula is home to numerous local restaurants, a public market, artists' studios, galleries and shops in old harbour buildings.
- 6-hour private tour to the highlights of the city:
With your private English or German-speaking tour guide in a private car SUV (approx. 10 am - 4 pm, pick-up from/to hotel). You will visit North Shore with the rainforest, the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge & Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, Vancouver Lookout, Van Dusen Botanical Gardens, Gastown Quarter, Dr Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden & food sampling in Chinatown.
- Private day trip by seaplane to Vancouver Island:
With your private English-speaking guide and in a private seaplane as well as private SUV transfers (approx. 8 am - 6 pm, pick-up from/to hotel). After breakfast, your tour guide will meet you at the hotel. A private car will take you to the harbour, where the seaplanes are parked. The private seaplane will take you to Tofino, on the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island, in approx. 1.15 hours. The programme there includes the "Big Tree Trail" on Meares Island and a private "Coastal Bear Watch" Zodiac tour to observe wildlife (bears, water birds, seals, etc.). It is important to pay attention to the tides (only possible 10.30-14.30). After the observation programme, you will return to Tofino, where a late lunch will be served at The Point (lunch not included). Afterwards, return flight to Vancouver in a private seaplane and private SUV transfer to the hotel.
- 3-hour private bike tour:
Including equipment with your private English-speaking guide to and through Stanley Park, which is well worth seeing. Named after Frederick Arthur Stanley, the park is located right next to the city centre on the northern tip of a peninsula that juts out into the Burrard Inlet fjord.
For lunch, we recommend the excellent dim sum at Kirin.
For dinner we recommend: Le Crocodile (French), Kingyo (Japanese) or Seafood in the Boulevard.
(Lunch and dinner not included.)
