Gastronomy
Every evening, the Ristorante Campo del Drago serves upscale classic Italian dishes from the various regions of Italy, enriched with fresh produce from the organic vegetable garden. The impressive name is a tribute to the Piazza del Campo in Siena and was inspired by the single cru of Brunello di Montalcino produced by the estate's winery. From the terrace you have a marvellous view of the deep green hills and sloping forests of Montalcino and the famous Val d'Orcia.
The Osteria La Canonica restaurant in Tuscany is located in the heart of the Borgo and is attached to the church of San Michele. It offers the authentic, warm atmosphere of a Tuscan trattoria. La Canonica has a shady open veranda overlooking the breathtaking valley. In this rustic and informal atmosphere, delicious pizzas and focaccia are cooked to order in an antique wood-fired oven with an open view. Seasonal produce from the organic kitchen garden is combined with other natural ingredients and freshly ground oil from Castiglion del Bosco to create traditional Tuscan dishes.
La Canonica cookery school, housed in the former vicarage in the heart of the Borgo, offers guests the opportunity to learn how to prepare authentic Italian cuisine, from traditional Tuscan dishes to fresh pasta and Italian pizza.
