The Proms are legendary - at the concerts, especially at the Royal Albert Hall in London, classical music meets pop, arias meet charts, suits meet leather jackets, stilettos meet trainers. After 84 concerts in the summer, the cheerful audience, supplied with Union Jack flags (Brexit opponents go for the European version!), demands a grand finale: fanfares and dances, hymns and arias, Wagner, Verdi and a world premiere by James B. Wilson are heard at the Last Night of the Proms. The exuberance reaches its climax with the Pomp and Circumstance march, the national anthem and Auld Lang Syne, which is sung together. Vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten-free alternatives are available.
In the early evening, private transfer to the legendary Royal Albert Hall. Tickets for the Last Night of the Proms are not really available at all. We have a source that will allow you to be there when the world's biggest music festival ends in a raucous night. Tickets are available in different ranges and price categories on request. We will advise you in detail. After the classical highlights, the mood rises with the national anthem and the Pomp and Circumstance march. Finally, everyone joins in: "Should old acquaintance be forgotten and never brought to mind..." You become part of an equally sentimental and cheerful choir in the Royal Albert Hall.
After the event, private transfer back to the hotel.
Last Night of the Proms
Once in a lifetime! The BBC Promenade Concerts take place every year from mid-July to the beginning of September. The final concert of the season is now broadcast live by many radio and television stations. However, to capture the true atmosphere, you have to be there. The atmosphere is incomparable at the end, which is always the same, with the "Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1" by Edward Elgar and the British traditionals "Rule Britannia" and "Jerusalem".
Our tip for the evening after: Hundreds of clubs make the London scene one of the most exciting in the world. The vibrant Soho district is the centre of London's nightlife. Not only glittering personalities from the media world feel at home here. Savour the city's best cocktails in a bar on Old Compton Street. Or experience London's answer to the cool serenity of New York's former industrial locations in Hoxton or Shoreditch.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, reminisce about the previous evening and go shopping or visit a museum.
Our tips: The Ultimate London Tour in a Black Cab - At 9am after breakfast, you will set off to discover the highlights of the city on your own Ultimate London Discovery Tour (approx. 6 hours) in a Black Cab with your German-speaking private guide, including a visit to Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Tower of London, Changing of the Guard. Alternatively, take a hop-on hop-off tour in a double-decker bus with audio system. Or marvel at the magnificent Kew Gardens, Kew at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew on your own. Or take a taxi to the Shard, where you should book two time slot tickets - we can do this for you on request. Enjoy the fantastic view of the city with a glass of champagne, coffee or tea before returning to the hotel and airport.
Private transfer to the airport at the appropriate time. Return flight to Germany, Austria, Switzerland in the late afternoon or early evening.

Executive rooms: These rooms are contemporary in style and decorated with a touch of 1930s glamour in bronze and soft grey tones. All furniture is bespoke and the wardrobes are made from silver stained fiddleback Sycamore wood. The en-suite bathrooms are fully lined in grey slate and feature a heated marble mosaic floor and either a walk-in rain shower or a shower over the bath. Facilities at the Flemings include a 24-hour reception, room service and a concierge desk. Green Park Underground Station is just 300 metres from the hotel. The shopping facilities on Bond Street and around Oxford Circus are just a short walk away. We think this is great value for money in the most popular part of London.
Culinary delights
The chic boutique hotel is home to the trendy Ormer Mayfair restaurant by chef Sofian Msetfi and the intimate Manetta's Bar, which offers an ambience reminiscent of the glamorous 1930s, an all-day cocktail bar and the G & Tea Lounge. Savour refreshing cocktails, an exclusive dining menu and the scent of fresh herbs and flowers.
The day begins with breakfast in the restaurant, perhaps you will enjoy a creative new à la carte menu for lunch or early dinner or a nightcap after the show in the bar in the evening?
German citizens can enter the country with a passport (an identity card is not sufficient!), which must be valid for six months after travelling. Visas are not required for German citizens.
No vaccinations are required. However, it is advisable to check the standard immunisations. The Federal Foreign Office recommends checking the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute for children and adults (see: www.rki.de) when travelling and completing them if necessary.
The weather in London is temperate: it rarely gets very hot in summer and temperatures are usually between 20 and 25 degrees. Winters are mild and rainy due to the Atlantic Gulf Stream, and snow rarely falls.
