After the open-air sleepout adventure in the Sapi Reserve, you continue by small aircraft into the Zambezi National Park. Your destination - the innovative, impressive Mpala Jena Camp on a private concession.
Together with the Victoria Falls National Park, the Zambezi National Park covers an area of 56,000 hectares. The Zambezi River not only forms the northern border of the park, but also the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. Within the Zambezi National Park, a variety of large wild animals can be observed and photographed, including the Big Five: elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and white rhino. In addition, sable and eland antelopes, herds of zebra, giraffe, kudu, waterbuck and impala, as well as smaller species, can also be observed. The Zambezi River is home to a variety of different fish species and is particularly known for bream and tiger fish. An extensive network of roads stretches along the river of the national park, which can be accessed through the park's main gate.
A typical safari day here also begins with a personal wake-up call at dawn. After refreshments have been served, your game drive can begin. Meals at Mpala Jena are of the highest fine-dining standard, breakfast and dinner are taken in camp, while lunch is usually served in a carefully selected shady picnic spot on safari. The evening camp fire is a perfect place to share the day's experiences. With the option of combining walking, canoeing and game drives, you can be sure that your encounters with the magnificent wildlife in these unique habitats will be up close, personal and impressive.
You can also spend a day at the legendary Victoria Falls. The transfer and entrance fee is included. If you wish, we can arrange a private guided tour of the Falls or a spectacular helicopter flight directly from the camp.
