The hotel's buildings are lined up along a 350 metre stretch of Alleynes Bay, a quiet beach on the west coast of Barbados. You can't get closer to the beach than this - the property was built decades ago, when it was still legal to build hotels so close to the beach. The narrow but scenic strip of soft, white sand with mostly gently lapping water that is ideal for swimming stretches for around a kilometre. A five-minute walk will take you to the trendy Lone Star restaurant and several other cosy beach bars.

The hotel does not have a spa, but offers in-room treatments.
Relaxation and sport
Relax by the large swimming pool with spacious whirlpool. Kayaks, sailing boats and paddle boards are available for you to use. You can use two tennis courts and a good fitness centre at any time. Every day, a member of staff from the water sports centre swims out with guests to the turtles that congregate in front of the beach - a nice free service.
There are two restaurants right on the beach. The Palm Terrace, with its pink marble floor, vaulted ceilings and sea views through high arches, is usually only open in high season. Taboras, with its pillars and open tables, is more casual. The dishes are down-to-earth and local, fresh fish is always on the menu.
Breakfast is plentiful, with freshly squeezed orange juice, plenty of varied fruit, coconut and banana bread and cooked options from eggs to pancakes. There is also an informal daytime café near the water sports centre.
There are 72 rooms. All are located in the garden behind the beach and overlook the sea through the palm trees. The rooms are decorated in fresh, stylish and calming shades of cream, grey and beige, with examples of contemporary Barbadian art and chic marble bathrooms with walk-in showers and baths. Bathrobes and tea and coffee making facilities come as standard. The rooms on the upper floors have large balconies with a round daybed, while the suites on the ground floor have large wooden decks with sun loungers just a few metres from the beach.
The rooms are 45 m² in size, the Beachfront Suites 60 m². Guests who book a Beachfront Suite benefit from the Platinum Fast Track Service, which provides you with an airport concierge who will assist you with customs formalities and accompany you to your luxury airport transfer. Each Beachfront Suite also includes a daily breakfast, daily afternoon tea, butler service and a private beach terrace.
Exclusive villas have one to three bedrooms, large terraces and are between 64 and 166 m² in size.

German citizens do not require a visa for a single entry and a stay of up to 60 days, but do require a passport that must be valid for at least six months at the time of entry.
The Caribbean weather is mostly sunny with possible rain showers in the afternoon.
The average temperature is a maximum of 32°C in August and 18°C early in the morning in winter.
The temperature difference between summer and winter is a maximum of 10°C, with the exception of
of the mountain regions.
No proof of vaccination is required for direct entry from Germany. However, the Federal Foreign Office recommends checking the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute and completing them if necessary.
