The carefully composed, light and airy rooms are punctuated with splashes of colour by Camille Walala. As you walk around, keep your eyes peeled for graffiti by street artist Jace. The resort is also known for its focus on wellness and its culinary gems, which include a fabulous Peruvian restaurant, a Turkish overwater restaurant and even a rum treehouse.

The LUX* Grand Gaube Resort & Villas is located on the north-eastern tip of the tropical paradise island of Mauritius. It has 6 restaurants and 8 bars, including one by the pool. Superior Room
You'll love the retro bathrooms and the loft-like feel of the room. The wooden floors, the sun-drenched terrace or balcony overlooking the lagoon, the interior design by Kelly Hoppen and the retro-chic bathrooms give the Superior room the feel of a flat or a loft. But with the feel of a beach house, so even better. These rooms can be interconnected to accommodate a group of travellers.
Junior Suite
This suite is designed for those who want to experience the best of island living. The bathroom is a real eye-catcher and the glass-walled garden lets in plenty of natural light and sunshine. The ground floor location means easy access to the beach. The interior design is the work of Kelly Hoppen. The suite immediately transports you to a chic beach house.
Ocean Junior Suite
From your bubble bath on the sunny outdoor terrace, you can even see the northern islets. It doesn't get any better than this. Designed by Kelly Hoppen, the ocean suites are decorated in shades of navy blue and mustard yellow for a chic beach house feel. The star of the suite is the freestanding outdoor bathtub on the sun terrace. The four-poster bed is also simply heavenly. And we can't get enough of the rain shower with its sliding glass doors (so you can choose whether you want to be inside or outside). These suites are located on the second floor, so you can enjoy the best views and all the privacy you need.
Wellness Junior Suite
Located on the shores of a secluded bay, they are perfect for couples and solo travellers looking for a wellness holiday. Overlooking a peaceful bay, the Wellness Junior Suite is the perfect choice for fitness enthusiasts, couples or solo travellers. The beach house-style suites with free-standing bathtub, indoor plants and salmon-coloured walls are equipped with a variety of wellness amenities.
Prestige Junior Suite
These incredibly spacious suites, which border a sheltered bay, feel more like a home away from home. Not only is the room itself spacious and beautifully decorated by Kelly Hoppen, but so is the 25 square metre terrace. There you'll find chaise longues, comfortable chairs in the shade, a cosy dining table, a free-standing bathtub and a hot tub. And wait until you see the retro-chic bathroom. You'll want to move right in. There are only two Prestige Junior Suites, located on the edge of the sheltered bay on the adults-only side of the resort. In other words: peace and quiet.
Family Suite
Cleverly designed to accommodate a family with a group of small travellers. With a king-size bed, a large sofa bed and the option to add an extra bed, this suite is ideal for families with small travellers. The spacious suite was designed by Kelly Hoppen and has two equally sized bathrooms, one with a large bathtub and walk-in shower and the other with a rain shower. You can enjoy the sun and unwind on the furnished terrace.
LUX* Suite
A room flooded with light. As much space as a modern traveller needs. The little plus? The sound of the sea lulling you to sleep. There's nothing better than waking up in a spacious room with a ray of sunshine streaming through. The living room, where you can cosy up with a book, opens onto an outdoor terrace. A third person can sleep on the sofa bed. There is a walk-in dressing room, a beautiful, spacious bathroom with bath and walk-in shower and a second bathroom for extra privacy.
LUX* Villa
A 300 m² villa designed by Kelly Hoppen on its own peninsula with a sheltered private beach? Yes, you can have it all! A private beach, a pool, a gazebo, all overlooking the Indian Ocean. Designed with respect for privacy. There is a lobby, a kitchen, a living and dining area and finally a sun terrace with pool and gazebo. There is a master bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors (and the most marvellous bathroom). The second bedroom has its own bathroom and terrace. And of course, extra beds can be added to accommodate the whole family.
Ocean Villa
Located away from the hustle and bustle of the resort, the Ocean Villas are a two-bedroom oasis with space for a family. Designed by Kelly Hoppen, they feature a private swimming pool and sundeck, gorgeous tropical indoor bathrooms and a neutral colour palette with hints of sea green. The 100 square metre villas and their manicured gardens overlook the Indian Ocean.

Mauritius has a subtropical to tropical climate all year round. It is mild and dry from May to October and warm and humid from November to April.
No proof of vaccination is required for direct entry from Germany. However, the Federal Foreign Office recommends checking the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute and completing them if necessary.
