A dream hotel! The Kasiiya is not a hotel, but rather a part of nature. Reda Amalou and Stéphanie Ledoux from the architecture agency AW² have entered a new dimension of architecture for resorts with this project: The new way of thinking about ecology. Kasiiya Papagayo, the luxurious eco-retreat overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Costa Rica, is set on more than 123 hectares of tropical dry forest and offers five tented suites, just like those found in Africa. Each building throughout the property is eco-friendly, resting on wooden platforms and built using only natural materials, while the flora has been preserved to leave little trace of disturbance to the surrounding landscape. The suites, built on large wooden platforms, have been designed with floor-to-ceiling glass windows and offer top panoramic views.
Room
Kasiiya's luxurious accommodation includes three tented suites overlooking the beach and two more on the hillside, all with excellent privacy. The suites extend over the jungle and have fans, air conditioning, eco minibar, a small library and Wi-Fi. The suites have a king-size bed, a large open-air living room with sofa bed, private indoor and outdoor bathrooms, an outdoor veranda with dining area and sofas. Each of Kasiiya's five tented suites has been strategically designed to offer guests a personalised experience and intimacy with nature. The tents are accessed via a private pathway designed to reconnect guests with their surroundings.
Gastronomy
The flavour of Kasiiyaya: Chef Sebastian Guevara believes that the cuisine of Kasiiya should be as beautiful as the land itself. The view, the air and the smell of the ocean inspire his dishes, which you will savour as part of the full board.
Wellness & Activities
Something very special at Kasiiya is "Movements": extremely close to and in nature, there is a form of yoga, movement forms from a kind of dance, yoga and capoeira, which imitates the locomotion of animals. Those who prefer to relax passively will find a small spa in the middle of the jungle - in a tent, of course.
