The Wilderness Usawa Serengeti represents a new era of safari experience in Tanzania. The mobile tented camp follows the legendary Great Migration, with two camps set up at key points along the migration route.

The Wilderness Usawa Serengeti is a mobile tented camp that moves with the legendary Great Migration in the Serengeti National Park. It offers guests a unique experience of witnessing the migration up close while enjoying the luxury and comfort of an exquisite camp.
The Wilderness Usawa Serengeti sleeps 12 guests in six luxury en-suite safari tents. Each tent is equipped with all the amenities guests need to make their stay comfortable. As the camp is mobile, the facilities are designed to be easily moved without leaving a trace. The tents are solar-powered, offer rechargeable lights and charging stations, Wi-Fi and hot water. The camp is child-friendly and welcomes children from the age of 6, although children under 16 must share a room with an adult.
The main focus of the Wilderness Usawa Serengeti is the Great Migration experience. Guests can go on game drives and observe the mega herds of wildebeest, zebra, Thomson's gazelle, eland and other species. The abundant wildlife naturally attracts a variety of predators. Lions, cheetahs and crocodiles are just some of the predators that guests can observe. In addition, the Serengeti is also a paradise for birdwatchers, with more than 500 bird species.
Wilderness Usawa Serengeti Camp offers guests an authentic safari experience in the middle of the Serengeti. In this mobile tented camp, travellers can enjoy being close to nature without sacrificing luxury.
Number and type of tents:
The camp has six en-suite safari tents that can accommodate a total of twelve guests.
Design and furnishings:
The tents are mobile, which means that they can be moved to different parts of the national park depending on the movements of the great animal migration. This ensures that guests are always in close proximity to the spectacular animal sightings.
Amenities:
The tents are equipped with modern amenities, including solar-powered lighting, rechargeable lamps, charging stations in the rooms, Wi-Fi and hot water supply.
Environmental friendliness:
As the camp is fully mobile, no permanent structures are left behind when it moves, ensuring a minimal environmental footprint.
For families:
The camp welcomes children from the age of 6, although it should be noted that children under the age of 16 must share a room with an adult. The camp must be booked for single use to accommodate children under the age of 6.

German citizens require a passport valid for at least six months and a visa to travel to Tanzania. This can be applied for at the Tanzanian embassy and on arrival at the international airport. Further information can be obtained from the embassy: www.tanzania-gov.de.

There are no vaccination requirements for direct entry from Germany. The Federal Foreign Office recommends the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute for children and adults (see: www.rki.de) when travelling and complete them if necessary.
Tanzania has a mild, tropical climate all year round. The best time to visit is from June to September. The rainy season is from March to May and from October to November.
