Six Senses Svart Norway

The Svart Glacier Hotel is the most sustainable hotel in the world, with a 360° view of the Svartisen Glacier and the Arctic nature.

Svart is located north of the Arctic Circle in Norway and is characterised by its futuristic circular architecture, which blends harmoniously into the natural surroundings. The structure of the hotel is inspired by traditional Norwegian concepts, particularly the "Fiskehjell" (an A-shaped wooden structure for drying fish) and the "Rorbue" (traditional fishermen's houses). The name Svart means "black" in Norwegian and is a direct reference to the dark blue ice of the Svartisen glacier.

The hotel follows a strict sustainability approach, reducing annual energy consumption by 85% compared to other modern hotels.

The opening is currently planned for 2026.
