German nationals do not require a visa to enter Malaysia as long as their stay does not exceed three months and they can prove their onward or return journey. There are no vaccination requirements for direct entry from Germany. The Federal Foreign Office recommends the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute for children and adults (see: www.rki.de) when travelling and complete them if necessary.
Malaysia has a tropical monsoon climate. You can expect hot tropical daytime temperatures and high humidity. The north-east monsoon blows from October to February. During these months, rain and flooding can occur on the east coast, although the west coast is less affected. From August to October, short rain showers can be expected due to the south-west monsoon. The coastal regions have a warm tropical climate and the water is pleasantly warm. In the mountainous region of Malaysia, however, it can get chilly at night.
