On board the Magellan Explorer, there is room for 69 passengers to make themselves comfortable in seven cabin categories. With such a small group of travellers, disembarkation is quick and efficient, allowing you to spend more time exploring and minimising waiting times.
The ship may not be a "giant of the seas", but it is manoeuvrable and strong. Engineers, architects and designers have customised it for this use and developed a range of technical solutions to maximise the expedition experience.

All cabins - with the exception of the porthole cabins - have private balconies as well as a wardrobe, individually adjustable heating, a seating area and a private bathroom with shower. All but two of the double cabins have two single beds, which can be configured as a king-size bed. From each of the stylish and elegantly designed cabins, you can enjoy the majestic view of the White Continent undisturbed.
You'll feel like you're in a cinema or theatre: the ship has a glassed-in observation lounge and presentation room with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, a spacious and stylish dining room, a well-stocked bar, a library, a meeting room, a gym and sauna and a medical clinic. The forward-facing observation deck leads to the bow of the ship, which is accessible to guests to bring you closer to the wildlife of the Antarctic Ocean. The ship has a fleet of 10 Zodiac boats, which are well suited for excursions, landings and wildlife viewing.

This is entirely to your taste. On board the Magellan Explorer, you can expect a daily breakfast buffet and lunch on board with a large selection of delicious dishes.
Also included is the daily dinner on board with a choice of three main courses as well as wine, beer, juice and soft drinks served on board with lunch and dinner or coffee, tea, chocolate, cappuccino, water and snacks.
On-board activities
Are you wondering what you will be doing on board? Your eyes will be wide open as you experience the spectacular ice desert up close and with all your senses, yet it is full of life. When you see animals, the colours of the sea, icebergs and the sky and experience bizarre ice formations that you have never seen before, because they only exist here, in the unique Antarctic.
But you'll also get your ears tickled when the polar experts provide you with interesting background knowledge about the history, geology, climate, flora and fauna of the southernmost continent. The longer you travel through the Antarctic, the more you will learn about the South Polar region.
