Your tour guide will be waiting for you in the lobby of your hotel at around 08.00 am.
In the morning, discover another multicultural aspect of Malaysia and visit one of the most important sanctuaries of Hindu culture, the Batu Caves on the outskirts of the city.
After climbing the 272 steps to the shrine of Murugan, one of Hinduism's most revered deities, you will enjoy a magnificent panoramic view over the city. It is also possible to see monkeys, which are constantly on the lookout for food, so be vigilant! These impressive caves continue to be a destination for pilgrims, especially during the most important Hindu festival in Asia, Thaipusam, which is celebrated during the Tamil full moon month (January and February).
Please note: The Batu Caves are a religious site, so there is a dress code for visitors. Women should cover their shoulders and legs below the knee (not too short or revealing). For men, a T-shirt and shorts are acceptable as long as the shorts are below the knee. Please do not wear undershirts/tank tops or flip flops.
On the tour, you will visit the colourful and unique Buddhist temple Thean Hou in the afternoon and then drive through the lush lake with its tropical nature and stop in front of the modern national mosque and the old railway station built by the British. From here you will reach Independence Square, the centre of old Kuala Lumpur, which was built around the tin mines in the 19th century.
Take a stroll through the streets of the old city, surrounded by small typical Malay colonial-style buildings, and discover the shops of the Central Market and Chinatown, where the colourful Hindu temple Sri Mahamariamman is located. Afterwards, make your way to the iconic Petronas Twin Towers to take photos of this engineering marvel before visiting the Skybridge and Observation Deck.
Then experience the breathtaking cityscape of Kuala Lumpur from the city's tallest building - with a ticket for the Petronas Towers.
Rising majestically above the city, the Twin Towers are a symbol of Malaysia's greatness and an absolute must-see during your stay here. With an impressive height of 452 metres and 88 floors, these towers held the record as the tallest skyscrapers in the world from their completion in 1998 until October 2003. To this day, they proudly hold the title of the tallest twin towers in the world.
Embark on a captivating one-hour tour that begins with a visit to the famous Skybridge. It connects the two towers on the 41st and 42nd floors, making it the highest two-storey bridge in the world. It is suspended 170 metres above the ground and is 58 metres long. Part of the bridge is even made of glass so that daredevils can look straight down to the ground as they cross.
Continue to the Observation Deck on the 86th floor, from where you can enjoy one of the most breathtaking views of the city. The Observation Deck was opened to the public in September 2010 and has become a major attraction for all visitors to the city, offering a truly unforgettable experience.
