Enjoy your breakfast before exploring the beautiful, UNESCO-protected historic centre of Quito on a guided walk. Immerse yourself in the colourful everyday life of the city by visiting the market hall with its fruits, vegetables and typical dishes. Admire important sights such as La Compañía church, Plaza San Francisco, Convento San Francisco and Iglesia San Agustín. Afterwards, head up the Panecillo hill to the „Iron Maiden“ and enjoy the view over Quito and its volcanoes. The Equator Monument and Museum of Pre-Columbian Art are also on the programme. After an early breakfast, your day begins under the sign of the giants: Together with your guide, you will follow in the footsteps of Alexander von Humboldt southwards in a private car. Along the „Avenue of Volcanoes“, Antisana, Illiniza and numerous other peaks rise majestically into the sky. Your tour guide will tell you how Humboldt once tried in vain to climb the 5,897 metre high Cotopaxi, the „throne of the moon“, and who finally conquered it. At the foot of the volcano, you walk in the Cotopaxi National Park to the lagoon of Limpiopungo at 3,800 metres. Wild horses and condors accompany the scenery. A late lunch at a historic hacienda is included. Return to Quito in the early evening.

After breakfast, your private transfer will take you to the airport, from where you will set off in economy class to the remote Galapagos Islands. You land on Baltra around midday and are taken directly to the nearby dock. There you will board the elegant catamaran yacht Sirius. Chinese Hat is characterised by turquoise blue water, light coral sand beaches and dark lava rocks on which penguins rest. Along the coast, you will encounter sea lions and oyster fishers before diving into a lively underwater paradise while snorkelling.

Seymour Island is a bird lover's dream: frigate birds show off their bright red throat pouches, blue-footed boobies dance on the ground and swallow-tailed gulls perch on the cliffs. Land iguanas roam the interior of the island, while marine iguanas warm themselves on the rocks and sea lions surf playfully in the waves. When snorkelling, a colourful underwater world full of fish, turtles, rays and sharks awaits you.
Mosquera delights with its calm sandbank, where young sea lions play in the waves. You can spot lava gulls and other coastal birds on a walk along the beach. While snorkelling at the northern tip, you will once again experience the fascinating marine diversity of the Galapagos Islands.

The hike through Sullivan Bay takes you to the volcanic origins of the Galapagos Islands. You will explore perfectly preserved pahoehoe lava fields, discover hardy pioneer plants, lava lizards and small birds. Along the coast, penguins, pelicans and oystercatchers enliven the barren landscape. Afterwards a Snorkelling experience with schools of fish, reef sharks, rays, turtles and Galapagos penguins. On Bartolome, the Pinnacle Rock, the peach-coloured sandy beach and a hike to the summit with Panoramic view over Sullivan Bay and the surrounding islands. Here, too, a snorkelling adventure in the clear water beckons, where sea lions, colourful fish, penguins and reef sharks bring the underwater world to life.

El Barranco on southern Darwin Bay on Genovesa impresses with fragile lava cliffs that provide ideal nesting sites for storm petrels and short-eared owls. Red-footed and Nazca boobies are frequently seen here, while Galapagos fur seals and sea lions enliven the shady coastal areas. A snorkelling adventure along the cliffs reveals colourful schools of fish, rays, sharks and playful sea lions. Darwin Bay delights birdwatchers with hundreds of gannets, gulls and frigate birds hovering over the beach or nesting in bushes. On the paths you will encounter Darwin's finches, mockingbirds and marine iguanas. Snorkelling here again promises a colourful underwater world full of fish diversity, rays, sharks and sea lions: a paradise for nature and animal lovers.

On the outskirts of Puerto Baquerizo, the Interpretation Centre awaits you, a fascinating place that brings the history of human presence on the Galapagos Islands to life. The exhibitions tell the story from the early Spanish explorers to Charles Darwin and show the challenges that the first settlers faced in the harsh island world. After the visit, you will be taken to the airport and fly back to the Ecuadorian mainland to Guayaquil.
