After breakfast, you start your private tour with a German-speaking tour guide in a private vehicle and on foot through the UNESCO-protected historic centre of Quito. The programme includes the famous equator monument „Middle of the World“ including the Ethnographic Museum, the magnificent La CompañÃa church, the historic San Francisco monastery and other sights in the heart of the old town. For a relaxing break, lunch is provided in a selected restaurant before you continue your exploration tour.
After breakfast, your private tour begins with a German-speaking tour guide in a private vehicle. You drive north along the Panamericana through impressive mountain landscapes to the land of the Otavalos. Numerous stalls with colourful ponchos, shawls and blankets await you at Otavalo's famous indigenous market, where you can browse and bargain in a relaxed atmosphere. Continue to the Andean village of Peguche, where you will experience the art of carpet weaving, as well as a rose farm, where you will gain interesting insights into Ecuador's flower industry. The tour ends at Lago San Pablo with the historic Hacienda CusÃn, where a colonial ambience, well-tended gardens and charming rooms await you. Lunch at a local restaurant is included.
After breakfast, set off on a private tour in a vehicle with your German-speaking tour guide along the famous Avenue of the Volcanoes. In the Cotopaxi National Park, the imposing Cotopaxi volcano, one of Ecuador's most famous landmarks, awaits you at an altitude of 5,897 metres. Just 60 kilometres from Quito, the vast plain offers spectacular photo opportunities. On a hike around the Limpiopungo lagoon, you can observe the unique flora and fauna and enjoy the view of the surrounding Rumiñahui and Sincholagua volcanoes. A stop at the traditional Indio market in Sangolqui and lunch in Tambopaxi round off the excursion.
After breakfast, a private transfer will take you to the airport, followed by your economy class flight to the remote Galapagos Islands. You will land around midday and be taken directly to the nearby dock to disembark. on board the yacht Isabela II to go. Santa Cruz Island (visited on the first and third day) offers the Charles Darwin Research Station and one of the largest populations of giant tortoises in the archipelago. Your Galapagos trip ends on the island of Baltra, where you will be taken to the airport for your return flight to the mainland. Second, quieter visit to Machu Picchu: something very special! As the day guests only arrive in the morning, you can enjoy the morning almost on your own. Go on your own activities or hikes and experience the sunrise when the warm rays break through the clouds and create a mystical atmosphere. The second entry and the first shuttle bus at 6 a.m. are included (without guide). At the appropriate time, you will take the shuttle bus down, check out by 11 am and still have time to visit the market, have lunch or watch the frequent hummingbirds in the hotel garden. Ecuador, Peru and the Galápagos Islands offer very different climate zones due to their location and topography. In Ecuador, warm tropical coastal regions, spring-like Andean highlands and humid rainforest areas alternate within a short distance. The Galápagos Islands are characterised by the interplay of different ocean currents, which creates a mild, often dry climate with pleasantly fresh mornings all year round. Peru shows strong regional contrasts: the coast is predominantly dry and temperate, while the highlands have a cooler, sunny climate with significant temperature fluctuations between day and night. The Peruvian Amazon, on the other hand, is characterised by warm, humid tropical air all year round.
