As a first for the Maldives, each residence is equipped with a 120 square metre reef terrace that rises five metres above the lagoon. From here, you will experience a unique perspective from which to marvel at the flattest land on earth. On top - literally - your private roof terrace is equipped with sea views and many additional facilities: Barbecue, bar, private cinema and SONOS sound & streaming, yoga area, Starlight Jacuzzi and outdoor games.
Two first-class restaurants, the renowned LUX * Beach Club Beach Rouge, the Café LUX *, the Barium, a private dining room with a wall-to-wall aquarium, the LUX * ME Spa, a private yacht charter and a children's club complete the offer.

Dress code
One more note: LUX* always stands for upscale style. The resort therefore requests that you do not wear open swimwear in the restaurants during breakfast and lunch - even if there is no special dress code during the day. For dinner, guests should always wear smart-casual clothing in the restaurants.

Special features
The new resort recently opened on 1 February 2019 with the aim of completely rethinking the Maldives resort concept and leaving old standards behind. With the large and magnificently designed penthouse residences, a fresh new breeze of design is blowing through the Indian Ocean. The impressive, detached houses - a ravishing mix of superyacht and South Beach impressions - make the traditional thatched villas of other islands look rather old.
It is warm all year round in the Maldives, the climate is tropical with high humidity. The driest months are from October to May, between June and September it can rain more often. The cheapest time to travel is from May to September, with most tour operators charging higher prices, especially over Christmas and New Year.
German nationals require a visa to enter the Maldives. Tourist visas for a stay of 30 days are available on arrival. It is possible to extend the tourist visa to 90 days on site.
There are no vaccination requirements for travellers who have only stayed in Germany before travelling to the Maldives. The Federal Foreign Office recommends checking the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute before travelling and completing them if necessary.
