Milaidhoo Islands is located on an island measuring 300 metres by 180 metres in the Baa Atoll near the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Surrounded by white sandy beaches, the resort is close to a vibrant underwater world where dolphins, whale sharks and manta rays are among the protected inhabitants.
You travel to Velana International Airport on Malé. Once you have arrived in the capital of the Maldives, you will fly half an hour by seaplane over the Maldivian picture-book landscape directly to your accommodation.
Let the locals take you by the hand and introduce you to the beauties and pitfalls of fishing and cooking or guide you through the culture and history. With the "Milaidhoo Moments" you are right in the centre of Maldivian life and get a wonderful insider's view. The special collection of fascinating experiences is complemented by numerous activities. Swim with manta rays and whale sharks, snorkel through the colourful coral reef and let a marine biologist introduce you to the spectacular natural scenery of the world-famous and protected Hanifaru Bay. You can also try out various water sports during your stay. These include kayaking, windsurfing, stand-up paddling and catamaran sailing.
Milaidhoo Islands invites gourmets to feel at home in the three restaurants and two bars. The culinary highlight of the island: the Signature Restaurant with its modern interpretation of traditional island cuisine. Savour the delicious dishes in the wondrous ambience of the restaurant, which floats above the Indian Ocean and is embedded in the silhouette of three traditional Maldivian dhoni boats. An exquisite selection of creative and classic cocktails and fine wines complete the offer.
You can enjoy holistic treatments in the four spa suites, which are perched on stilts above the lagoon and offer a wonderful view of the Indian Ocean. Yogis and meditation enthusiasts can take part in daily classes in the yoga pavilion above the water.
For couples and older children:
Milaidhoo is the only resort in the atoll designed especially for couples, but also welcomes children from the age of nine.
Perfect Honeymoon Package:
Newlyweds with a valid marriage certificate can choose a star in the night sky at Milaidhoo and give it a name. They can take the certificate and a star map home with them. You can decide on the name together during a relaxing one-hour spa treatment for two or a romantic three-course dinner in the privacy of your sun deck. The signature honeymoon cake and a bottle of champagne round off the perfect honeymoon package.
30 water villas (245 square metres) on stilts and 20 beach villas (290 square metres) with a private stretch of beach, set amidst the tropical jungle of the island. Whatever the category, privacy and all-round service are guaranteed: Each villa has a private pool and a personal host who makes wishes come true.
Designed by local architect Mohamed Shafeeq, the materials and furnishings for all 50 villas were individually selected and specially manufactured for Milaidhoo, so that this unique design epitomises the contemporary style of the Maldives.
An essential element is the focus on the beauty of the surroundings: because the villas can be opened 180 degrees, nature becomes part of the space.
Water Pool Villa:
You reside in a water pool villa. On 245 square metres, you will find a large sun deck with a 42 square metre freshwater infinity pool, a Maldivian swing, sun loungers and parasol, a table with chairs, an oversized day bed by the pool and steps into the ocean.
The interior of your villa features a king bed with ocean views, a discreet flat screen TV, high ceilings, a private wine fridge, a large fridge/mini bar, a coffee maker, ceiling fan and air conditioning. The 20 square metre bathroom comes with a separate bathtub and tropical rain shower with glass walls and sea views.
Included in your trip:
It is warm all year round in the Maldives, the climate is tropical with high humidity. The driest months are from October to May, between June and September it can rain more often. The cheapest time to travel is from May to September, with most tour operators charging higher prices, especially over Christmas and New Year.
German nationals require a visa to enter the Maldives. Tourist visas for a stay of 30 days are available on arrival. It is possible to extend the tourist visa to 90 days on site.
There are no vaccination requirements for travellers who have only stayed in Germany before travelling to the Maldives. The Federal Foreign Office recommends checking the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute before travelling and completing them if necessary.
