German citizens do not require a visa for Fort Lauderdale, USA and San Juan, Puerto Rico for stays of up to 90 days thanks to the Visa Waiver Programme. An electronic passport that is valid for the entire duration of the stay and a negative coronavirus test that is no more than 72 hours old are required for travellers aged 2 years and older. Similar regulations apply to Saint Thomas and Tortola in the Virgin Islands, whereby the passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of departure. For Marigot, St. Martin, the French entry regulations apply and there are no longer any COVID-19 related restrictions. In Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis, a visa is not required for short tourist and business stays.
