The Amankila is located on a stunning stretch of coastline on the Lombok Strait on a lush hillside below the sacred Mount Agung. The suites, built on stilts and connected by frangipani lined pathways through the treetops, offer spectacular views high up on the hill, while a three-tiered infinity pool plunges into the depths at the heart of the property and the beach club leads to a private black sand beach.
The large villas - at least 100 m² in size, offer airy bedrooms and a large terrace. Some overlook the sea, others the garden. Some have a private pool for maximum privacy.
Gastronomy
Amankila serves exquisite Indonesian and international cuisine with produce from the resort's own organic farm and garden. The hillside, poolside and oceanfront restaurants all offer breathtaking views of the Lombok Strait. Amankila's menus reflect the richness of Bali's volcanic soil, the bounty of its waters and the creativity of the resort's chefs, celebrating the comfort and warmth of traditional family cuisine with a sustainable, seasonal focus.
Wellness & Spa
The spa's therapies are based on the energy of East Bali and aim for complete relaxation and presence in the moment. Natural ingredients are used for traditional Balinese baths, scrubs and wraps, which are performed in the privacy of the guest suites, in the massage pavilion, on a beach lounger or in a secluded open-air space with a tropical canopy.
Healers who are trained to facilitate deep transformation use a variety of tools to support awakening and healing. Holistic practitioners offer treatments ranging from hypnotherapy to Reiki. Various styles of yoga are also taught by local and expatriate yoga teachers, including Hatha, Pranayama and Vinyasa Flow. Bapak Eka, our resident yoga teacher, leads one-hour, entertaining laughter yoga classes. Classes take place in the Yoga Bale right on the beach, accompanied by the sound of the waves.
