The &beyond Mnemba Island is located on the private island of Mnemba in the north-east of Zanzibar, just a few kilometres from the coast. It is surrounded by a marvellous coral reef, making it a paradise for romantics. Dreamlike white beaches surround the small island, where you can enjoy the luxury of complete seclusion. You stay in 12 luxurious bandas directly on the beach: a Robinson feeling is guaranteed here. The underwater world in the reef is one of the most beautiful in the world: four times as many fish species live here as in the Caribbean. Sea turtles can be observed almost all year round and whales can be seen in the region from July to September. Activities such as diving and snorkelling are included. Meals are served either in the hotel's own banda or directly on the beach.

The sandy beaches and calm turquoise sea surrounding the island are perfect for snorkelling and swimming directly from the beach at any time. The more adventurous can reach the best snorkelling spots on the island in a 10-minute motorboat ride.

Everything here is completely private and individual. Enjoy your meals whenever you want. On the beach, under the trees or in your banda. Each culinary experience is prepared to individual taste and served at a time and place that suits each guest perfectly. Three meals and drinks (soft drinks, house wine local spirits and beer, tea, coffee and refreshments) are included.
Your private banda, made of local wood, is located under trees directly on the beach, nestled in tropical vegetation and protected from view. The banda includes a bedroom, bathroom, a terrace where you can also enjoy your meals, a lounge and a day bed on the private beach area.
German citizens require a passport valid for at least six months and a visa to travel to Tanzania. This can be applied for at the Tanzanian embassy and on arrival at the international airport. Further information can be obtained from the embassy: www.tanzania-gov.de.

Tanzania has a mild, tropical climate all year round. The best time to visit is from June to September. The rainy season is from March to May and from October to November.
There are no vaccination requirements for direct entry from Germany. When travelling to Zanzibar, proof of yellow fever vaccination is required. As the authorities there regard entry from the mainland as arrival from an endemic area, proof of yellow fever vaccination is required for onward travel to the island.
The Federal Foreign Office recommends the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute for children and adults (see: www.rki.de) when travelling and complete them if necessary.
