EDITION Reykjavik enriches the vibrant nightlife of the Icelandic capital with an impressive selection of restaurants and bars. These include a rooftop terrace with panoramic views, a lively lobby lounge, an intimate cocktail bar, a nightclub and a unique social spa. Tide, on the ground floor with its own harbour-side entrance, is the latest offering from Michel-starred chef Gunnar Karl Gíslason and features a seafood-focused menu of modern Icelandic cuisine using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. The adjacent Grab 'n Go café offers a selection of fresh pastries and sandwiches as well as coffee.

The Tides restaurant is the hotel's flagship and is run by Iceland's first Michelin-starred chef, Gunnar Karl Gíslason. Tides offers the best of the country's natural ingredients. Modern Icelandic cuisine with subtle hints of traditional cooking methods, focussing on seasonal local produce and the highest quality global ingredients.
Tides Bakery and Café - serves locally roasted coffee brewed on the premises. There is also a selection of light snacks and fresh sandwiches as well as freshly baked pastries. The café also serves delicious sourdough or rye bread sandwiches and takeaway meals that you can eat in or take away.
Tolt, named after the unique fifth gear that Icelandic horses are known for, is a cosy bar designed as a hidden sanctuary and the perfect place for late night cocktails or pre-dinner drinks with friends. Inspired by Icelandic culture and utilising local Icelandic spirits.
The Lobby Bar is a dynamic, sociable space with an open fireplace, serving locally produced beer specialities, cocktails with an Icelandic touch and wine by the glass, as well as a carefully selected snack menu - the ideal meeting place for guests and visitors.

The sophisticated rooms and suites of the Reykjavik EDITION offer spectacular views of the harbour, Mount Esja and the legendary Snæfellsjökull glacier.
Each of the 253 rooms and suites, including a spectacular 6th floor penthouse with panoramic views, has been designed as a cosy retreat and reflects EDITION's approach to relaxed luxury. Warm palettes of ash wood and pale grey oak are embellished with bespoke furniture, copper elements, faux fur rugs and artworks and accessories by local artisans. The monochrome bathrooms are private sanctuaries with enclosed rain showers and standard Le Labo toiletries.

Some rooms have their own outdoor terrace, while most have their beds in front of floor-to-ceiling windows that offer various views of the surrounding neighbourhood. Rooms are furnished with stylish modern décor and fine details by Ian Schrager. We recommend Ocean View rooms and Loft rooms, approx. 27-29 square metres in size.
Suites
The elegant, modern suites at the Reykjavik EDITION Hotel have separate living and sleeping areas; many offer panoramic views of the harbour and waterfront, and there is the option of connecting rooms.
We recommend the Harbour Suite (54-56 sqm), Ocean View Suite (41-62 sqm), Ocean View Corner Suite (78-82 sqm) and the Penthouse (128 sqm).
German nationals do not require a visa to enter Iceland if their journey does not exceed 90 days.
