Over the past 32 years, Miriam Fiordeponti has performed on many stages in Germany, Switzerland and Italy and has had many engagements in film, radio and television.
Born in Switzerland, Miriam Fiordeponti trained as a bookseller and attended the Zurich Acting Academy from 1982 to 1986. She lived in Hamburg from 1987 to 2017 and moved to Berlin in spring 2017. She says: "On my many journeys, I was often lucky enough to be welcomed by friends in foreign places. The opportunity to see a city, a region or a landscape through the eyes of the people who live there is wonderful. It is a task close to my heart to convey this feeling to my guests." Aristotle's words inspired Miriam Fiordeponti to complete a professional wine training course in 2009 and successfully complete it with the WSET® Level 2 Intermediate Certificate in Wines and Spirits. Since 2011, she has been performing her monologue "Die Saeuferin" at various venues in Switzerland and Germany.

Welcome to Venice.
After your arrival at Venice airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your personal, German-speaking tour guide Miriam Fiordeponti. Your luggage will already be taken to the boat landing stage. A private water taxi will take you and your luggage from there to your chosen hotel. Arrive relaxed and enjoy your first magnificent panoramic view of the city from the San Marco Lagoon with its marvellous white Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute, one of the city's landmarks.

Private excursion by private boat to the islands of San Francesco and Burano
After breakfast, you will be picked up by your tour guide and take a private boat for an island tour through the lagoon. First stop: the island of San Francesco del Deserto. It is one of the most beautiful islands in the lagoon and is home to an old Franciscan monastery surrounded by cypress trees. One of the five monks who live here will guide you through the beautiful grounds and tell you about the monastery's long history.
You can then travel to Burano in just 10 minutes. The charming, colourful houses on the village-like island are worth seeing and you can stroll along the small canals with bars, shops and small stalls. The former fishing village is known for its traditional boat-building workshops as well as for its bobbin lace. Enjoy one of the typical Burano biscuits and a cappuccino or a refreshing drink in the café. From Burano, you can reach the small island of Mazzorbo via a wooden bridge. Here you will not only find peace and quiet, but also the innovative Venissa restaurant with its small vineyard. After a fortifying lunch, you return to the hotel, where you arrive in the afternoon and can relax. Cross a wooden bridge to reach the small island of Mazzorbo.
Before dinner, Miriam Fiordeponti introduces you to Ulrich Tukur's collection of stories "The Water Lily in the Dining Room" - an enchanting literary homage to the lagoon city. Afterwards, you will walk along the lively Riva dei Schiavoni and through small alleyways to a traditional trattoria for dinner.
Rialto Market, Giudecca Island with Fortuny, Basilica San Marco & Private Palazzo
If you like, get up a little earlier today. Discover the still largely empty labyrinth of alleyways on your own. Stroll to the Rialto Bridge and experience the action at the Rialto market up close. The fish market is particularly interesting, where freshly caught seafood is for sale. Back at the hotel, enjoy your breakfast.
After breakfast, your tour guide will take you by vaporetto to Giudecca, the part of Venice where the Venetians are still almost among themselves. A private tour of "Fortuny" is also planned here. You will be welcomed exclusively and given a private insight into the manufactory by prior appointment only. Mariano Fortuny tailored unique pleated dresses for Sarah Bernard and other celebrities from cinema and music. Under the strictest secrecy, behind closed windows and faded, yet opaque Fortuny curtains, the textiles are dyed, woven and printed on the old machines according to good old tradition. Lunch in a Venetian restaurant on the Giudecca.
You then return to San Marco and visit the famous St Mark's Basilica. Without having to queue, you can enter the basilica directly through the VIP entrance. A guided tour of the Doge's Palace is also included.
You can look forward to the evening in particular today. After a light early dinner, the highlight of the day awaits: experience the opera "La Traviata" up close in a private palazzo. Experience the heart-wrenching love story of Violetta and Alfredo in various rooms of the private palazzo and be enchanted by the private performance. Afterwards, stroll back through a quieter Venice in the evening. On the way, you can enjoy a drink in a Venetian bar and round off the day with a good glass of wine.
Private guided tour of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, departure
After breakfast, a private guided tour of the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni awaits you. Peggy Guggenheim lived here until the end of her life. Today, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection with paintings and sculptures from the first half of the 20th century is located in the same place. The palace was opened as a museum in 1980. In addition to the private collection of European and American works of art, you can see the Gianni Mattioli Collection and the Nasher Sculpture Garden.
Afterwards, you will have some time to stroll around Venice and say goodbye to the lagoon city. In the afternoon, you will take a private water taxi to the airport. Your luggage will be taken directly to the check-in counter.
