Currency: The currency in the Maldives is the Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR). You can exchange your currency at the resort. Euros and US dollars are accepted in many places.

from € 3,290 p. p.*It is warm all year round in the Maldives, the climate is tropical with high humidity. The driest months are from October to May, between June and September it can rain more often. The cheapest time to travel is from May to September, with most hotels charging higher prices, especially over Christmas and New Year.
German nationals require a visa to enter the Maldives. Tourist visas for a stay of 30 days are available on arrival. It is possible to extend the tourist visa to 90 days on site.
There are no vaccination requirements for travellers who have only stayed in Germany before travelling to the Maldives. The Federal Foreign Office recommends checking the standard vaccinations according to the current vaccination calendar of the Robert Koch Institute before travelling and completing them if necessary.
